Trust me, I'm all for buying the paint. My buddy is trying to help me out, and use what he has. I have no problem dropping a bill on some good ass paint.

Get the primer in one...that shit is like 40 bucks per gallon...but guess what...one coat...instead of 2 coats for the 25 per gallon cheap stuff (double the volume and tada...double the labor, double the cost!)

As a guy who has ZERO experience with electrical stuff, I find that impressive. Did you learn that from your old man or on your own, C...?

I didn't notice as I haven't seen any real electrical stuff listed here. Switching out outlets, lights, switches isn't quite the same as running new lines from the breaker.

I have no empty breakers

I will be getting an electrician to replace the box, but first I have to get the service to the house upgraded

Little teaser for Friday, using the lighter "driftwood" grout color to match the walls.

Nice match to the cabinets

After the subfloor, the tile and the baseboards go in, the kitchen will be done minus appliances. Then it's on to the next big project. First things first, had to get rid of this behemoth.
IMG_20150315_235454_zpsopsuejpn.jpg

Had to clear it out and get it outside
IMG_20150316_010611_zpseg9flc67.jpg

Then we went shining on it.

And then...

Nice big open space

Used the coffee table for a temporary stand, much more to come here

Well he is still alive and posting and hasn't lost to many brain cells so I guess it was fairly safe

So Friday, the flooring installers showed up to install the new subfloor and tile in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the 3" paintable baseboards were not on the truck and they did not install them. I'm still fighting with the company to get that part rectified, however the tile came out great.

Here's the new tile

The new subfloor
20150320_100715_zps01egnzog.jpg

All nailed down and glued

Now to find out when I can get the baseboard in and be done with the damn kitchen

The tile looks great but you must do something about those cabinets it is taking away from that awesome tile.
