What game(s) are you playing right now...?
I will be getting Destiny 2 on the PC. I don't know but after playing Destiny and Overwatch on the PS4, I have come to really dislike playing FPS on a console. I'm currently building a PC rig to get ready for the PC release in October.
Nice! I want to upgrade to a 1080. I feel like it's such a big jump in performance, it would be worth the price. Even a 1070 is prime.
I felt that Destiny was fine on the console, certain things feel better. I liked sitting on the couch. But no doubt a mouse is the best way to aim in a FPS, and with a powerful rig it will look even better

Destiny was fine on the console if you were casually playing. Since I lean more into PvP, it was just frustrating at times using the controller. I know my opponent has the same problem with using the controller, but I just feel like I'm being held back on the limitations of the controller and it wasn't "fun".
I just ordered a 1080 so I'm really excited for this build.

Just finished Spec Ops: The Line and wow this game absolutely shocked me.
Two words: war crimes. Morality is a grey area, and you make some decisions that really shake you to your core. Depending on what you do, those actions can really haunt you in a brutal and graphic way. I've never played a game that did this.
Gameplay wise, it's a rather unremarkable third person shooter. Not bad, but could use some polish. It plays like Rainbow Six, with very simplified squad commands, and taking cover.
Still if you aren't a huge stickler for graphics, and are fine with just above average handling and gunplay, you are in for one hell of a mindfuck.
Seriously, if you were in a combat role previously or have some sort of PTSD, I would actually recommend you not play this game at all. But if you are curious, it's pretty cheap or sometimes on sale.

Battlefield 4 is the last game that I've played and I haven't played it since my radeon r9 390x started having driver issues with win10 like a year ago. I did sign up for the Quake Champions beta a few months ago but haven't realy had the time to check it out(used to play q3 all the time in my 20's). I would rather play on a PC than anything else but I have a question about consoles and thought I'd ask here.
My 5yr old twin boys have been obsessed with minecraft for about a year now and they've recently discovered that what they've been playing on their tablets is "not the real thing"
How can I get them the real Minecraft? They don't have PC's of their own and I really don't want them on mine. Do I build/buy them a PC, get a PS3/PS4 xbox one something. What console should I pick up the sole purpose being to play minecraft? The last console that I purchased was a PS2 I really have no clue what to do. Also I really don't want them doing multi-player at this age if I can help it.

But if you're going this generation console, I'd have to recommend PS4 for the exclusives (for my taste).
Got Door Kickers from the Humble Bundle store for $3 (originally $20):

Tactical top down SWAT simulator. Played for like 4 hours straight without realizing it

Anyone play the latest Sim City since it was updated a while back? I never got it because of how bad the release day reviews were.
I bought Cities:Skylines a while ago and finally got around to playing it. I'm hooked. Just want a relaxing game sometimes...

^ PC and tablets. The kids play on their tablets while I play on my computer. It actually is highly addictive when you start building things and there are also mini games you can play.
Well you just answered your question. Don't lots of people love building Lego and be addicted to it? Same with Minecraft. I bought it for my daughter and I love to see her create things from it.
But for the kids, I see they are addicted to it and love building things virtually(this is on their minecraft-like android game). I want to support what they are interested in. The thing is, when they come home from school and say "Johhny has a PS4 and has the real minecraft" That makes me want to get "the real minecraft" but I'm not sure if I need to get them a powerful gaming console to play what is basically a lego game.
No, it's not worth it for just the single campaign.
But as a whole, I love it. It's still a shooter with a sprinkling of RPG elements built into it. Destiny 2 is addicting and there are many different ways to progress in the game, I've only had it for three days and I feel it was well worth it, and am optimistic about its future.

I've been waiting about 2 days getting COD WWII to download. The system keeps turning off for power save during the download.
Also I opened the game, clicked Multiplayer, and then it says 23 hours to download content
I'm on a wifi connection relatively far away from the router so maybe it's taking too long because of that.
Should be done when I get home tonight.... gonna have to try it out looking forward to multiplayer

Hey man, hit me up if you need another body for the raid. I've done it a handful of times and know all roles. Would love to help out. Bnet is cYn#1246
Working from home for a couple days while my wife is out of town. Booted up an SNES emulator & have pounded about 2/3 of Final Fantasy V in 2 days. Love having the 'fast forward' bit. Makes power levelling a bit less tedious.
Destiny 2 still with Stardew Valley mixed in. Even the gf loves playing SDV.
I recently got The Sims 4 on sale, and am eagerly awaiting Monster Hunter World. A great comparison someone made for MH is that it's like Dark Souls. It's actually harder, but only at the highest levels of progression.

Try Bloodborne DLC bosses then report back. Dark Souls bosses were a breeze compared to those dudes. As a matter of fact my AV is a BB DLC boss because he was so badass and fucking hard.
I finally cracked open Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain and as a lifelong Metal Gear player (since 1988 on NES), dang I'm disappointed. The intro section was good but I'm not liking this so far and I just finished I guess Mission 3 were you find the Russian general. I know it's more Peace Walker style vs linear MGS 1-4 but that style is why I fell in love with MGS. IMO Kojima probably should've stopped with 4 and focused on Revengeance series.

My PS3 get it's primary use as a Netflix player for my girls.
