What game(s) are you playing right now...?
Put it off for a long time but I just now bought MW. I will only be playing FFA.
I tried War Zone a few times, I just don't like the way the game moves and feels, the collecting, the movement, the stupid Zone area thing that closes - all things gimped from Fort Nite I think. So yeah, pass. One time I was the gunner on a heli and that was fun I gotta admit.

Cool, I'll check it the mod after work. Automation is on my wishlist already! Holding out for it to be on sale, because I'm

My literal dream job is to be a professional race car driver. Runner up would probably be vehicle dynamics engineer, which is kinda similar, but I'm not smart enough for that. Automation instantly interested me, but I have a feeling it would just sit in my library like 60% of my other Steam games.

Messed around with it on my lunch and decided to pull together that looks somewhat Audi-ish.
I even added a 7spd DSG, carbon ceramic brakes ..

I'm a fan.
I wish you could mod cars in GT and Assetta and Project Cars I mean like go higher like 1500 or 2000 or 2500 hp just for fun - I used to love doing sh*t like that with modded games on PC back in the day. There's something just so satisfying about doing a wheelie in a car all the way down the front straight
Is there any game like this on console?

I don't know if I ever shared this video here, I probably did like 15 yrs ago or something, but here is what I'm talking about - I'm racing a modded F550 race car with around 1500 hp up the front straight of Road America... and it's so much power that... well you will see:
And yes, enjoy the awesometastic quality and sound and high-definition of this upload.

I'm honestly not a fan of FFA, more of a team death match or domination person.
Then again my instinct is to shoot anything that moves, even friendlies.

luckily friendly fire is off.

I still remember playing GT as a kid, goals were to save up and install the stage 4 turbo kit. If a car couldn't be outfitted with the stage 4 kit specifically, then it sucked
no need for balance when the walls help you turn.Still wanna get a wheel and chassis setup, possibly VR but overall a costly investment.
Can't you do this with Gran Turismo and the like? I haven't played a console racer since the PS3, but Gran Turismo Sport looks amazing.

Played Civilization 6 this weekend. It's free on Epic store until 11AM ET on May 28th.
I never played any of the previous Civilization games. I have played Age of Empires. This is far more involved that AOE and I didn't realize how long the games last. I like it but I don't think I have the time required to dedicate to it.

Civ games are a huge trap. "Just a few more turns", you think to yourself.
Next thing you know, pacifist Gandhi has finished researching nukes and declares war on you. Of course, that will not stand.
I like them, though I've only played V. It's like a really, really fleshed out spinoff of Risk.

Well after trying Warzone like, 3 times and not getting into that style of play - at all - ALTHOUGH - I have to tip my hat to the scope and scale of the operations - IMPRESSIVE - I caved last week and bought the regular version of Warzone, just to play Free-For-All. After playing a few first rounds I was like ugh. The movement and play didn't feel much like how I was so accustomed to with WWII. It reminded me of Black Ops and those kinds of Treyarch games - I'm guessing for a reason.
Anyways I played some more, and it got a little better - but I still don't love it. Next I remembered I had MW2 on Steam on the PC, and I re-downloaded that, and have been playing that the last couple of days and I am LOVING IT. Although, playing on the keyboard/mouse setup is HARD! I mean, the buttons on the controller make it so much easier. My next move is to try hooking up a PS3 controller to the PC and see how it goes.

I felt the same about Warzone. Never been a fan of the Black Ops series. The feel of the MW games was always just right for me.
That said, I noticed some games just "click" better for me. Personally I think games with a fleshed out singleplayer/PvE aspect let me familiarize with the mechanics a bit more, and it translates into better multiplayer/PvP play.
I was really competent at Destiny 2, but when I tried to play R6 Siege or Warzone, I was so bad. Didn't put in a fraction of the hours in those games though, so who knows.

If you were thinking of picking up Rocket League, hold up for a bit. It's moving to Epic Game Store and will be free to play!

So .. still playing BeamNG and loving it. I have about 45 hours into it so far and here are my updated thoughts on it:
It's still very beta feeling, but, once you get the hang of the menu & capabilities .. the game feels a bit more polished and well thought out. There are weekly / monthly updates with huge improvements being put into the game. The physics engine is a peach, textures / graphics are decent, but .. yeah, lets be honest .. I play for the soft-physics / damage
Each time I play .. I discover a new capability, map, scenario, or random stuff to do in Free Roam mode. The mods are endless; maps, cars, objects, anything .. it's basically Gary's Mod for cars.
It's kind of fun thinking in your head ... "Hmmm, I wonder what would happen if you put a 2100lb load of wood in the back of a truck and took it off a pretty decent sized jump?". Oh wait, I can do that.
What's been keeping me busy is getting the hang of the AI / scripting portion of the game ... options are pretty much limitless.
Example: ai.driveUsingPath{wpTargetList = {'Bridge20_1', 'DecalRoad11732_15'}, noOfLaps = 0, aggression = 1.44}
Here's a quick video I uploaded awhile ago and it showcases a bit of what I'm talking about. I downloaded the B5 S4 car mod and yes, you can modify the configuration files that control the various aspects of the car - Upped boost / wastegate properties / raised rev limiter to 7500.

Have you played around with Free Roam and the West Coast map? Specifically the Drag strip?
It's pretty awesome .. you can make subtle tweaks to cars and try to squeeze every little bit out of them on the track. (Tires, Nitrous, swapping out engines / FI setups, etc)
Also .. it's awesome to see how weight effects the cars, too.
You can spawn a weight scale, weigh the car ... start pulling panels off until it's totally gutted and re-run it. 400-500lb off the car shows an immediate gain in performance in everything ... even the brake rotor temperatures are less than if the car were heavier.
The level of detail this game hits makes me nerd the the f$**# out.

The scripting portion is pretty neat .. Notepad++ / YouTube tutorials are your best friend!

Then I noticed as the hatch got spun around, the other AIs would usually slam into them; sometimes causing/suffering race-ending damage.
I thought this was hilarious, so then I made it my goal to wreck all three cars while still being able to cross the finish line myself.
I probably did this for way longer than I should've. Got too entertained sabotaging computer-controlled cars. That was the last time I played
That's awesome
There's another scenario where you're racing a AWD Rally esque in a CRX esque car on a 1 lap race ... and .. hitting them actually makes you fail the scenario.
That coupled with realistic damage .. your driving needs to be neat and aggressive.
That's one element that racing in this game really hits home is .. hitting things brings real / race-ending consequences
.
Can't exactly ride the walls like you used to in Gran Turismo

So, with GoT finished, I finally got around to trying out the latest God of War that was released back in 2018/19? It's not bad but I am just not as into it after the trio of FF7R, GoT and TLoU2...
Dunno. I guess time to take a break from gaming until the PS5?

So Crusader Kings 3 just came out and I feel like all the characters from Arrested Development: "I've made a huge mistake"
I feel like I need to attend a semester-long college-level course on how to play this game. I'm sure it WILL be fun once I understand it but oh my god is it dense. There isn't a learning curve, there's a learning skyscraper here haha.

Latest obsession? Making underpowered 4 door sedans drift machines ..
Stock suspension / standard all-season 195 width tires ... boosted it and added quick ratio drift steering & racing LSD ... thing is a drift machine.
And .. in typical E36 fashion, blows a headgasket

Finished up GTA V for the second time. What a great game. It's rare for me to actually finish a game but I have never played a game through twice.
Now I'm moving on to Red Dead 2.
I wish they would hurry up and release GTA VI.

I just played the Oregon Trail for the first time. https://js-dos.com/Oregon%20Trail/
With my daughter helping me, I survived and made it to Oregon! I only had 2 survivors in my party, but no one died from dysentery.
