Currently in a lull though. Noticed this just happens (to all my friends) as we have gotten older.
Even not accounting for the lack of time to play, sometimes the interest just isn't there even though the games are. I rarely finish games all the way through nowadays, but part of that is due to the games I like as well - some of them have no "end".

Yeah, its hard nowadays. I still can't find time to finish Kingdom Hearts 3
^ Same with me. I have this $2k+ PC rig just sitting there doing nothing. Haven't played much game at all. Once a week I would have some downtime to play Path of Exile for like 2-3 hours, and then the PC goes back to sleep for the rest of the week.
I prefer games with finite endings and a little tougher difficulty (Dark Souls series) unless the game is really fun or has a great story mode (God of War, Spider-Man).
I get disappointed in myself when I play games with "endings" because I don't always finish them.
Funny enough, I just started playing The Sims 4. Always seem to go back to various Sims games, playing them when the mood strikes. Problem is, each time I do, it's a binge session

Picked up Animal Crossing New Horizons, had to get an extra copy but we love it. Very soothing game, my first AC and I wish I tried it earlier. Best played with one island per Switch. If you enjoy the Sims, Stardew Valley or Harvest Moon, you'll like this.
I'm wrapping up Octopath, wouldn't recommend unless you're an oldschool JRPG diehard who needs that nostalgia injection. For me it's great.
Picked up Borderlands 3 to play with a friend but haven't been on it much.
I thought about animal crossing because of the kids...but I dont like the graphic design and I never really got in to its hype with earlier iterations (too old)...but I did enjoy stardew valley...while totally admitting that its nothing but a time suck with no real value, lol. And my kids have so many options between the switch, ps4, roblox, a school learning game called prodigy (RPG for math learning) they dont need anything new involving a screen.
I actually haven't played any games other than GIJoe on my iPhone.

Been almost neurotic with how I'm checking for sales on the Switch Eshop. Its just so nice to play on the couch yet not take up the TV.
Playing Valkyria Chronicles as it was on sale. Liked it, so got VC4 which was also discounted. Kind of further satiating my JRPG itch. Wish I played these when they were on PS3.
Was playing Borderlands 3 with a friend, but got kinda bored of it. The new DLC is pretty wacky, as to be expected.
Well Rock Band 4 has been getting a lot more play lately. Last night instead of watching more streaming or NFL draft stuff, I picked up the plastic guitar, bought like 15 songs, and went to town shredding. Felt really fun and been playing it a lot with the kids lately.
Had more free time lately and decided to install and actually play some games I bought. Picked up an 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ for usage on both PC and Switch and it has been awesome.
My friends stereotype me as the FPS guy, but I wanted to try some different games:
American Truck Simulator
Very relaxing. Didn't think I would enjoy a game like this. Originally bought it on sale for the memes, but have 18 hrs on it so far.
Two Point Hospital
Hospital simulator. Satisfying management-type game, surprisingly intuitive on the Switch... but framerate gets a bit stuttery later on in a specific menu. Wish I got this on PC instead, if you could transfer progress I just might.
BeamNG.drive
Had this on my wishlist for a long time, the physics are so captivating. When I accidentally go off a cliff I don't restarting instantly, since it's enjoyable to watch the car crumple and parts fall off. Difficult but rewarding gameplay, seems kind of limited at the moment content-wise. Makes me want a wheel, pedal, and shifter setup.
Horizon Chase Turbo
Inspired by Top Gear on the SNES (which I played a lot as a kid), they brought on the same composer even. Arcade racer with an immersive sense of speed, perfect for picking up and playing on the Switch.
Slay The Spire
Rogue-like deck builder with a ton of replayability. Reviews are absurd (97% positive on Steam) and I can see why. My Switch says over 80 hrs so far. If I could transfer saves I would buy this game twice as well.

BeamNG is great .. little expensive IMO.
I have about 20 hours into it and yeah .. probably one of the most delicious soft physics game I've played so far.
Mods are pretty good too .. I downloaded the old Top Gear UK test track / few cars.

Whoa, I missed that track. Is it on their baked in mod/add-on browser, or was it on Steam? Do you get to race the AI?
I have my qualms about BeamNG being an "early access" game for 5 years, despite me just starting. It is unpredictable. Vastly different game, but I played Warframe early on despite being kinda anti-F2P initially, but it turned out really good on full release when I played it again.

I haven't messed around with it enough to race the AI ..
Otherwise, I have a lot of the same thoughts - Menus are not the most intuitive and the game still feels very 'Beta' ... lacks focus IMO.
Based on a lot of the YouTube videos .. you can make some pretty epic crash scenarios / stunts.
Another thing I saw that was totally badass is BeamNG & Automation are compatible ... meaning, you can design / tune / build your own cars in Automation and export that car to BeamNG.
Take a gander .. it's expensive but could potentially have some neat prospects.
Cool, I'll check it the mod after work. Automation is on my wishlist already! Holding out for it to be on sale, because I'm (read: frugal)
My literal dream job is to be a professional race car driver. Runner up would probably be vehicle dynamics engineer, which is kinda similar, but I'm not smart enough for that. Automation instantly interested me, but I have a feeling it would just sit in my library like 60% of my other Steam games.
only been playing MW multiplayer.
I stopped playing Warzone because I suck ass and die too quick. Hate waiting for a new match to start.
need to get around to starting FFVII:R
Same. The money collecting mode didn't seem to have much of a wait though?
My coworker got me to play warzone cause it was free. Battle royales aren't my thing, and this was no different. I was legit with MW on the 360 back then, now I just suck which doesn't help with the fun factor.

Yea plunder is better since you can respawn but playing by yourself is impossible to hit 1 million cash to win. And i tend to try and get revenge for whoever kills me
They did change up the Warzone solo mode thou in that if you have enough cash when you die you will respawn. No more gulag. need to try that.
