Just finished The Last of Us on ps4, currently playing ghost recon wildlands on xbox 1. The last of us was fun, felt like i was in a movie. Ghost recon was really fun the first week, but it's starting to get repetitive and im quickly losing interest. I find myself just going after new rifles and modifications instead of working on missions. It is still fun trying to go full stealth, using suppressed weapons. Thinking about biting the bullet and buying a nintendo switch just for the zelda game. Looks amazing and hella fun.I am still a die hard Skyrim fan, been replaying it since it became available for xbox one and ps4. I am so ready for the next elder scrolls though. But other than that i try to play 2k17, but the game is so glitched i can rarely get it to work. It freezes/stalls constantly in the start up menus. I hate it so much lol. I can't wait for the new MLB TheShow too! That is all

Hopefully Horizon is a little more fun in single player, with a more fleshed out story and crafting system
I bought this last week. It's a great game. I was already bored with the latest COD, BF1 was so repetitive, and I had actually started playing Last of Us on PS4 AGAIN - on the hardest level. (Not recommended. Controllers and TVs are at risk of getting broken in frustration LOL). Saw a random review of this game and gave it a try. It's actually different. I like being entertained and challenged by a solo game like this. The combat setup is amusing and the graphics are pretty wicked. I like the open world feel - where you can do nothing buy explore, you can do side missions, or the main missions as well. I also like the character interaction. Would recommend it.

Anyone play Limbo, or Inside? They are both for xbox one. I had limbo for 360 and it was part of a package deal with Inside for the xbox one for like 10$. I loved limbo so much i had to get it for xbox one as well. Both games are pretty amazing for a side scroller 2D platformer game. Really creepy, and eerie feeling games. If you have a xbox one i would definitely recommend them both. They arent very long, but will take a bit of thinking to get through them. In Inside, the part of the game where you are in the submarine is one of the coolest looking parts of any game i have ever seen. I give them both 10/10.

I agree for the most part, the exception being I didn't really play Last of Us.

After playing Horizon for a few hours, I can recommend it. I'll probably put in more feedback after the weekend, I haven't gotten past the first "real" main quest yet. This is the comparison I read that sold me on it:

This game is like the perfect mix of all the best aspects of other games.
  • Red Dead Redemption's sidequests
  • Far Cry's crafting system, outposts, and map layout
  • Witcher's graphics and dialogue
  • Batman's Detective Vision
  • Monster Hunter's combat
  • Uncharted's climbing without the surprise deaths
And an incredible story. I was ho hum right up until the last prologue mission. Then it was like "well, that's one way to start a game..."
I haven't played a lot of the other games, but I've seen footage of and read about them.

^Damn that's cool. And yeah Last of Us is a must if you own a PS4. Obviously 100% must if that's the bundle you bought

I tried Last of Us, and the story seems very compelling, but I've never been crazy about stealth games. I only played it for about an hour or two at the most, so perhaps not a fair shake. My friends love it

It'll grow on you. I'm spoiled by Metal Gear for stealth. You could go in guns blazing too but it's harder IMO. Remember you don't have to kill everybody.

^ I've always preferred stealth/strategy to 'run-n-gun' types.
When I eventually get a PS4, I'll have to give it a go.

I have been playing Horizon non-stop this weekend whenever I have time. Went on a 6 hour binge. I feel gross, but don't care. Can't even remember the last time I played I game this long.

The setting is one of those post human apocalypse worlds. The world is still largely intact, but nature has taken over. Except, instead of horses and tigers, etc. you have robotic, sentient versions of them.

Just picked up Monster Hunter Generations on the cheap. I've played Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate until it was too difficult to find a party (it's an older game). Can't wait to start playing it this weekend!

Mod My Car - The 3G Acura TL Anthracite 6 Speed Edition

For real though, work and modding is all I do right now. I used to play a lot of TFC. When I have time I mess around on the Witcher 3 expansions. PCMR.

Ok so I got a 3D TV but it being 3D was just a feature I didn't really care about. However I put in Super Stardust Ultra in 3D and it's really fucking cool. Too bad this gen didn't make a lot of games. Yeah yeah it's a fad but my TV does it really well.

Makes me sad to think about it, but every since my mid-20s and on, this has been more and more the case. A bunch of games sit unplayed, and that number only grows.

Dude basically your time after work (assuming 9-5 and 2 hours driving each day) is kids, spouse, all of them, workout, chores, TV, go out, and fit in there cooking/cleaning. All while going to bed at a reasonable time.

My energy is dwindling away despite my best efforts. I used to somehow get by on 5-6 hours of sleep on average and stay up until 2-3am sometimes.

Now if I hang out with friends or watch TV at home I sometimes nod off around 10pm

Started Injustice 2. I'm terrible at video games, so while it is fun, I feel like I have no room for growth without memorizing all the combos

Started Uncharted 4. Yeah it's good. Also finally picked up Rocksmith 2014 again. Luckily I haven't lost a ton of the little skill I had.

I enjoyed the story on the easiest setting then raged at the final boss with how hard the game suddenly got out of no where. I had only 1 fight prior.

OK finished Uncharted 4. It helped I was on vacation. Best story of the series since his brother is the voice actor from Last of Us. Smarter sneaking and fighting enemies makes it easier but I think UC2 is still the best one IMO playwise.

Shooting games. But also want to try new stuff. Wouldn't mind a good campaign game.

A lot of gamers seem to like Overwatch. It was up for GOTY. No campaign at all but each character has unique abilities. I'm not a fan of that genre but I did like Halo 1 and 2 when I had an XBox.
