oh, btw... with mine (the one w/o receipt) even though they kinda frawned on looking it up... it was easy, cause I knew the exact date... it was purchased on launch day.

 

Thanks, that's actually what I used to use...until the spring update hit, and then for some reason my files eitehr didn't play, or the aspect ratio was all messed up.

It took me some time to figure out, but I downlaoded a program called TVersity, which allows your computer to act as a media center server to the 360....so you can stream movies, pics and music to the 360. Sure, you can do that anyway, but this also allows you stream any movie file without converting it (it converts on the fly as it streams to the 360), and allows you to listen to internet radio and view internet video on the 360, which is kind of nice. Not as stable as the direct computer hook up, but it does the trick.

Took delivery of my elite today. Only thing is, UPS managed to live up to their reputation and best buy did a crap job of packaging the sucker. The box the elite comes in was torn and bashed in on one corner. And the box best buy used to ship the sucker didn't have any packaging material to protect it.

I'm hoping the unit is still safe and wasn't damaged in anyway

yeah UPS really sucks ass. Whenever I order from the net, I always choose FedEX. If UPS is the only option, I order from another website altogether. Just had way too many problems with UPS in the past to ever deal with them again.

I've never had a problem with UPS or the other shipping companies.. guess I've been lucky *knock on wood*

got the wheel for 360 last night so im all ready for forza 2 on tuesday. used the wheel with the demo and its awesome. makes the demo 10x better. can't wait for it to finally comeo out

Forza is to be released 29th as of today, but wont be in stores till tommorow! Only for Pre-Orders they get it today!

^^^they always say that... but always expect it on the day after... what Game Stop told me was.... the "release date" is actually the day the games are sent out... and yeah... if you pre-ordered... you get it ON that day

 

the microsoft one. price dropped down a little so figured what the hell. makes the demo a lot more fun so im assuming should make the actual game even better.

 

I dunno about that. I've received plenty of games the actual day of release. At least that's how the gamestop near my work has had their releases done.

The gamestop near my work usually receives the games the day before release or a couple days before and if it's a really hyped up big game, they open their doors at midnight and release the game. That's what they did for Halo 2. I'm sure they'll do the same for Halo 3.

now for the games that aren't as hyped up and in very high demand, i'm sure they let them lapse a day or two from the day of release and I think that's what happens with those types of games.
