This is sorta irrelevant and out of date like Yumchah's news, but I've always found it ridiculous how when the media (Xplay, etc.) play the 360 with the wireless controller, they used the play-and-charge kit. I mean why the fuck did you buy a wireless controller in the first place? This was even after the wireless charging kit came out.

And if you purchased it in December, you are still covered by the 1 year warranty. It only effects you after you send it in for service.

my 360 gave me the three rings on saturday. called customer service and they said they'd be sending me a pre-paid box to return the console in. they didn't say anything about having to pay for any shipping so...

There is a physical switch on the video cable you need to set to HD, and then in the actual operating system you need to set it to 1080p.

Cool, thanks guys. No, I didn't buy it at Costco, it was a very unexpected Christmas gift from my sister, actually.
I have this problem though, it could be the TV. I use the included component cables to hook up to my non-HDTV and I put it at 480p in the settings (can't see crap in 720p or 1080p) Sometimes I get these weird distortions across the screen, going horizontally and making the image a little blacked out. I can't describe it really well, it just looks like kinda like watching scrambled porn, but no way near as bad. Just a few spurts going across the screen (no pun intended) and distorting it.
