If your a Squad Captain you can use T in game to request a UAV, Supplies, or Artillery. These requests go straight to the commander and he can accept or deny (or just plain ignore sometimes). The placement of the exact center is determined by where your looking (like where a bullet from your gun would hit first), not by your current location of your feet.

If your a squad Member (not the captain), when you do the T thingy to request stuff, it goes to your Squad Captain, who can either accept or deny before it goes to the commander.

so if your gonna lone wolf it, create your own squad for the hell of it so you can access the T menu. If your not in a squad, then T does jack squat.

 

I can't imagine flying the heli with the keyboard. Speaking about the heli, when you're the gunner, what's the trick to the TV guided missiles? I know you click on the screen to change directions but it's really hard!! Is there a trick?

 

I think it just takes some time getting used to. What I do is fix the crosshairs on the object (or near) it, then fire, then click to guide the missle. It took me awhile to get used to it.

A good (steady) pilot and a good gunner wrecks havoc on any ground personnel or vehicles.

A few times I was able to TV a plane down... was pretty funny.

 

me and soopa were KILLIN it last night he was flying the heli, hes def a good pilot, lined me up with all kinds of nice shots...

the trick with the cam missle is click RAPIDLY in the direction you want it to re direct in.

 

i can fly, but i cant use that TV missile for shit. i hit maybe 9/10 shots with it.

 

edit: I miss 9/10 shots.

 

Those TV missiles are hard. I don't know how people hit things from clear across the map.

 

practice... the update only allows the missle to go so far before blowing up nowadays....

i've become pretty good with the missles.. just takes practice

 

I've been trying. I hit the target maybe 20% of the time. My best TV missile shot was taking out the opposing attack chopper in a dogfight. That was cool.

 

yea some people will kill u in a chopper to chopper fight w/ the cam missle 98% of the time

I practiced with the TV guided missiles last night. I went into an empty server, propped the choppers on hills over looking bases and took shots at tanks. It's still hard but I think I got the hang of it.

Jets on the other hand, is it me or do the U.S. jets suck compared to all others? The MIG-29 is awesome. I think the AA missiles even hit more for some reason. If I'm lucky enough to get in that jet the only thing I worry about is SAMs and triple A.... and the occasional collision!

 

Neech/Nite you guys need to use XFire. You could have played with Clean B and I all night.

Neech... yeah... the US jets kinda suck. The F18 is the only decent one. The Mig-29 is probably the best just in the game... it just fucks shit up.
