I have the G36 and Sniper unlocked best combo IMO, but don't unlock sniper if you don't like been in one place all the time.

i play sniper or spec-ops mostly. i love the .50 cal sniper on maps like Mashtuur City. I had 26 kills with it earlier tonight on LLC.

Over on one of the BF2 Forums they where talking about how if you use the work fuck X amount of times, bunkbuster will auto kick you..and that they should have a higher age rating for the game and someone comes up with this lol....

Battlefield 2 (PC) A must buy!!!!!!
If you don't have it go get it! Its freakin amazin. I had just as much fun with this as I did when I whipped out Half life 2 almost a year ago. Just make sure your rig is up to date. Put it like this, if your PC can play Doom 3 all well and dandy then you're good to go. Here's my setup
AMD Athlon 64 3700 1MB (Socket 754) <---(Recently upgraded from A64 3400)
Asus K8N-E Deluxe MB
1GB DDR 400mhZ PC3200 OCz Ram
XP SP1
2 HDD (1 160GB Seagate Sata) and (1 160GB Hitachi Pata)
MSI Geforce 6600gt graphics
MSI TV Tuner
Sony 17" LCD xbrite monitor
Logiech wireless keyboard, mouse and 5.1 channel surround
Thermaltake Tsunami 3000SWA Silver case with see through window
Apex 500w Power Supply
Linksys Wireless Wifi all through the house
You don't have to have a Rig like this one but make sure you have at least Pent 4 2.4Ghz or AMD Athlon 64 2800 with 512MB-1GB ram and a good graphics card (Nvidia geforce 6600 or Ati x800 and above)
and you should be good to go.
Trust me the game is worth it with up to 64 players online!

What's your graphics setting in game??
Neech,
What do you haev your graphics set on in game? I'm spending as much time tweaking my graphics (Leadtek Geforce 6800 LE) as I am playing the game
I was able to unlock all the pipes & shaders (16p1/8) and trying to overclock the card to get the best gaming experience, but it's just never enough!!
Basically i've got most of my settings on 800 x 600 & medium (with terrain, detail on high & anti-aliasing turned off). I should probably stop tweaking and leave everything in the Geforce control panel @ default shouldn't I??
Here's my rig & the mot important information (it's old, but too cheap to really upgrade until i can do it right)
P4 Asus P4S8X w/ 2.8 Ghz Proc
1 gb PC3200
AGP Leadtek Gefroce 6800 LE (128)
Running Geforce driver rev. 7.8.05

Your basic requirements for this game are pretty high. I would say:
For ATI, Minimim of the higher end 9000 series cards, reccomend an X800 or X850
For nVidia, Minimum of the top of the line 5000 series or mid to high 6000 series. Reccomend a 6800GT/Ultra/7800
For Ram, you want at least 1GB. This thing chews through a couple hundred MB of RAM while playing, so 512 just aint gonna cut it.
For AMD, You want a Athlon64 or better, 3000+ or higher. (Known problems with BF2 and MultiProcessor machines, so multiprocessor and multi-core is not needed)
For Intel, you want at least a 2.6, but would reccomend 3.0 or faster. 800Mhz FSB reccomended too.
I had to build a whole new machine, just to play this game (old machine was a AthlonXP 2500+ (Barton) with an Original GeForce 3). But it was well worth it. I can set the Video to High on the Overall setting, and go to 2x AA with no problems or hiccups at all on my new machine.
Practice being a Commander and Flying in Single Player if you really want to get good.
Anyone reccomend a flight controller for the game? I asked one guy who was like a flying ace and he said Saitek, but didnt say what model he was using.

My video settings are:
Terrain - High
Effects - High
Geometry - High
The rest - Med
Anti-Aliasing - 2x
Texture Filtering - High
View Distance 100%
I have an ATI 9800 PRO (256MB) and my AGP Aperture settings in the BIOS is set to 128MB. Don't be disappointed that your machine doesn't run as well with this game; it's a killer designed to convince players to purchase newer hardware... which most people I know have since its release.
