Is there a website to check your stats, kind of like the barracks in the game?

Has anyone been the victim of mortar fire? Launching grenades that take out 3-5 of the enemy team from accross the map right when the game starts.

I haven't on MW2 but I died from it maybe 1-2 times on COD4. Not sure how you can know, I guess losers and their friends go into lobbies and see where a grenade lands from the spawn points, then if they're lucky the timing is just right and it kills someone.

A pretty good game, I guess I'd say. This is generally how I play, though it's different depending on the gun I use and the map, of course. I'm working on uploading some more videos, and I'll post them up when they're done.

LMK if you guys have any comments or questions If I could figure out how to use Audacity to add commentary or improve the quality I would. My TV isn't HD, it's an older tube-TV but it looks a lot better than in the video. Sometimes you can't even see the guy I'm shooting at in the vids, damn youtube.

ah, the fruits of my labor. Took me hours to set up and figure this crap out, now I share them with my AZ folks. I missed out on a couple of really good rounds, like 34-4 on Highrise with some nice use of the CG, but its okay cause I had some rounds I'd like to forget too. I even had a funny one with the claymore as a last kill!

If anyone is curious on how to use a certain gun or on a map, let me know and I'll try to get a recording and post it. Enjoy...

heh, it's tricky. also for some reason when you use it out in the open, you're a little slow in turning sideways with it. For some reason in a killcam, it showed my whole side exposed to this guy I was bashing in a room, but clearly on my TV I was facing him the whole time. I guess I lagged for a bit or something

It's hard to do well with it, though usually I do it Scavenger, Lightweight, Commando, and a throwing knife. My best round was something like 14-4 or 14-5, with at least 7 assists. Tonight is my last day of class so I'll have plenty of time to record these vids soon....

I've only used Windows Movie Maker a few times, and that was years ago in high school so I don't remember much about it and I can't really compare. The software I got was Pinnacle Studio 12 which has an editing suite bundled with the capture card.

Again this is my first time doing this kinda stuff, so I guess its a good start to compare other software with, but if you ask me.... I'm a noob at this stuff

Yeah, I got Sony Vegas 8 working, so I'm gonna use that, and maybe switch to vegas 9 soon. I put music to my old vid and uploaded to youtube with the right tags, I wonder how many views it'll get..

your videos look so clear! Mine look like poop. Once I record it, it looks great, then I edit it and it looks a little crappier but still okay. Then it goes to youtube and you can barely see shit

Youtube takes some time to process it. At first, it looks like total crap but it gets better later. I also saved the file as 720p, which helps, though it could still look better.

So for capture settings, should I leave it at 4:3 aspect ratio or 16:9? I don't have a widescreen TV.

and for capture format, AVI or MPEG1/2? I convert it to MPEG4 usually anyways since AVI doesn't work with YT, so that means MPEG1/2 is better, right? It also lets me choose compression (DVI, MJPEG, DivX, and MPEG1/2), size and data rate (3600 kB/sec for AVI, 6000 for MPEG2).

Right now resolution is at 720 x 480, so if I save it at 1280 x 720 it should be better?

nevermind. The only thing I could change was project preferences, so I changed it from NTSC Standard to NTSC Widescreen Progressive. Resolution is still 720 x 480. So it's 480p?

I think I can record in HD, but I have to purchase an activation key or something. Weak.

Damnit, people are abusing the infinite care package glitch now. Some dude pulled out three predator missles (all which he aimed at me) and two harriers with only 10 kills. Pretty annoying if you ask me.

I tried making a riot shield video, but I failed miserably. I guess if someone knifes your riot shield at just the right moment when you melee, he can kill you. Somehow in that narrow hallway going downstairs on Skidrow, some guy knifed me right through the riot shield. I was mad.

Had some real crap games last night, though Young was pretty consistent. Is it me or did people get better overnight? I don't remember getting my CG very much. I'll try to sift through the crappy games I played and upload the decent ones.

My sensitivity is set at 3. No secret there, I just pull all the way on the right analog stick. I've played on the PS3 and its almost too sensitive for me.... dunno how ya guys do it. Change your sensitivity if you haven't

You turned in a good game there though. Some of us are just freaks I guess, but if say your K/D ratio is usually around 1:1 then you did really well.

With all the knifers running around and akimbo shotguns with marathon/lightweight.. call of duty doesnt feel right. People on the infinityward forums are likening it to halo and I have to agree..

the knifers I don't mind too much.... but the dual shotguns are ridiculous. Before I prestiged I made an akimbo 1887 class and I only used it if someone else was using dual 1887s, just to show them how its done.
