Have you EVER played a console FPS online that didn't have glitches and errors?

Nothing new.

anyone else getting tired of guys running around with marathon, lightweight, and commando and just stabbing people from far away. I am beginning to feel like the realism in this game is no longer a fun factor.

what kind of realism are you looking for in a game where you die and come back to life, endlessly?

yeah i get so pissed off with the shotguns and knives. Also the game is slowly becoming a camp fest. I mean i can even run in the game without being shot by a camper which is making me become a camper in order to get more kills than deaths.

Yeah I notice more people are camping too. And, I've started to do some too, just out of necessity. You can't be the only guy running around in a map lol - you will die.

its annoying because I much prefer in your face action - dare I say run and gun... when I play these games I just want some quick stress relief and resulting fun. Camping does not give me any immediate relief - although when you do get kills its fun.

What I have been doing more these days is a kind of hybrid mode where I have the FAMAS grenade launcher with heartbeat sensor and I use that to strike from afar, combination of long shots, knifing for ambushes and defense, and such. FAMAS is my favorite, but I think overall I like the ACR, which I don't have yet. I think I get it at next level.

gg mrsteve, nice to see your playing at that level.

so lately i have been playing alot of sabotage and demolition which has alot more running round and less camping on both teams. I think the camping comes in part with the killstreaks. COD MW i remember it was harder to get 7 straight kills than it is in COD MW2 which people are getting 25 straight kills for the nuke.

That's called aim assist (or something like that), I left mine turned on in the settings although I probably don't need it.

I thought that option was only available/applicable in offline modes.. .

btw is there any way to pick your outfit? Like in Wasteland, the absolute best outfit is the leaves getup, which I never seem to get! I mean it's incredibly stealth on that map. Am I missing something? I mean, does this get unlocked in later levels? I seem to usually get some loud garb which would be more suitable for hunting elephants.

that's what I thought too. But the aim assist for the single player campaign is much different.
IIRC, in the single player campaign you press a button and it aims to the nearest target regardless of how far away they were from your cross hair.

What I noticed happening in regular multiplayer games was if a person got near your cross hair the game would aim your cross hair closer to that person without any input from you. Doesn't necessarily mean you will get a kill but it assists you in getting a hit.

yeah, I like them better than the ACR... when this game first came out, a lot of you unlocked the ACR before me and were saying how bad ass it was, then I get it... and I think it's okay

hmm I wonder how I'll like it. It's weird (and cool) how certain guns just feel "right" and others don't.

I thought it depended on what gun you had.

Like with a sniper you get that one suit with the leaves and grass. Guillie suit.

Where do you even adjust it in multiplayer? All I see in MP options is adjust controller buttons, sensitivity, screen position, and brightness. And maybe one other thing but I've never seen anything about aiming in there.

You get the ghillie suits by completing the "ghillie in the mist" challenge under the boot camp challenges. You have to get a certain number of one hit sniper kills to unlock a ghille suit for the different types of areas. It says what you get and when under the challenge.

And the aim assist exists for consoles, and is kinda gay. Takes some skill out of the game

IMO you really need stopping power with a sniper rifle.

Kind of gay that you get a direct hit on someone with the .50 cal Barrett sniper rifle and it doesn't kill them right away or blow them into chunks, that gun is made for shooting a tank!

And all the knifing fags really ruin the game for me. If you want that kind of shit you can go play Halo. It doesn't belong in a tactical shooting game like this one.

Nah, it's optical

I will say, the caliber of players on PC is higher than it was on console for when I played COD4. When I started playing this on PC, i was getting my ass handed to me left and right for a while.

is there aim assist on PC?

if not, I think we can infer that they put it in because of the possible limitations of playing it on a console controller.

Yea, I think it's there but very hard to notice it since you're already aiming yourself.

It's easy to get OSK's with sniper rifles without SP . The WA2000 and Intervention are the easiest, a shot to the upper torso or head will do it.
