I was too! 30 SECOND limit on the Xbox!!! the F is that?????

oh but that's better than PS3, I don't think you can do any native video uploading from there. I'm sure will correct me if I'm wrong.

Yea you can't, but there were plans to have it back when the game was about to launch, but I guess it never made the final cut.

I would almost take that over a Supra because it's more affordable right now, but I think it's the kind of car that would fit someone better who is a bit older, you know what I mean? It seems like it's more of a car for a 30+ year old. Since you seem to be an 8-series enthusiast like me, I bet you are aware on how insanely unpractical the maintenance costs on these things are right? There is actually a trip computer on these cars that frequently go out that can cost upwards of 10 GRAND to replace from BMW Definitely would not be a wise decision to buy this right now lol! If only money grew on trees

You mean the EKM. I'm sure you could find a matching set for under 1k.

As far as tuning goes, I personally have a set tune that I use for certain drivetrain setups (rwd, fwd, awd). Then I apply the tune to a car and tweak it accordingly. I don't know if this is how civic does it, but its a little harder for me to drive because I am not using a nice steering wheel setup. If you tune it just right though, you can lightly move the joystick around on turns for smoother lap times.

would you care to give us a little basic tutorial?

whats your go to for RWD?

RWD seems to be boss in this game... AWD all of a sudden seems slow compared to RWD, like reverse from forza 3. My old go-to S class cars, the GTR and the R8 feel shitty compared to the 458 and the SLR Moss

Also, is there ever a situation when you want to induce understeer? seems like more oversteer is usually better

RWD's for the most part pull harder than AWD's in this game. However, AWD's are better for someone to use if they want to drive a car that is less dangerous around turns.

As far as inducing understeer goes, YES understeer is actually important on certain aspects of the tracks. If you tune your car to have a bit of understeer, you can actually exit corners faster because the car isn't trying to move inward. From doing this though, you will also lose your entry speed in turn, so it comes down to tuning your car so that you can uses a little bit of both at the same time. Tuning your front and rear roll bars as well as the caster will make a difference in this.

I prefer my cars to have oversteer more then understeer. I can control a slight slide and exit corners faster. With understeer, I need to let off to bring it back in line.

Man. They always seem to be pretty bad at roll cage design for a bunch of scientists and engineers.

Finally got a pic of a backfire. Its a shame it was in my TSX and not my Koenigsegg or Aventador Ill keep trying. For some reason if I go into a replay to try to pause it for a pic, the flame never shows up.

I kinda agree the perfect lap thing is BS. My reasons for that is because in real life, you may go slightly off the track a little and its OK - if you've been a regular viewer of the Stig you would know this, for example. That being said, it's pretty unrealistic to expect a perfect lap to the level portrayed in this game.

Two different times Saturday I was trying for a perfect lap. Both times I was fucked by the AI in a corner. First time I went through the last right hand corner on Road Atlanta coming up on a really slow low-level car. I took a wide-narrow approach to the corner while the slow car was taking a regular AI apex. Because I was behind the car for a second, it registered as a blown lap.

Second time, I was taking a sharp left at Silverstone and one of the AI cars happened to take the same turn as me. Well no shit, was I expected to just go straight so he wouldn't follow me...durrrrr....around a corner?

Not fucking with it anymore. Too frustrating over stuff that you have absolutely no control over.

Perfect lap pisses me off too.

It's hard to explain but I hate how I earn a triangle, finish the lap, and then the triangle goes to the second lap even though I got the penalty early the first lap.

I agree. Drafting annoys the hell out of me. Whenever the AI is behind me it seems like I have to weave to avoid being drafted.

Thats because each lap has sections. When the time behind/ahead pops up through your lap, that marks the end of a section. If you draft/bump a car/go off track in the last section, it carries over to the next lap.

That shit drives me crazy. If I have 5 more turns until the end of the course, and I earn a triangle on the 4th, it carries over to the new lap.

Sometimes it will be up to 30 seconds between my penalty and the new lap and the triangle STILL carries over.

It is very annoying. I was doing the Aventador Rivals race last night and kept getting three wheels off the tarmac on the same turn. Finally got it on the 6th lap but was ~1second slower then I should have been.

In other news, my Fanatec should be shipping today

You already said it, but the penalty goes too far back. I think it's a hard 2nd turn before the finish rule. Generally if I go off track in that area I rage restart.

Just as a heads up guys:

The Forza 4 Tuning Calculator is up. This will help you get a base tune on any car.

http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/fo...d/4859908.aspx

Pretty cool that someone took the time to make this.
