You kinda can't not compete. Within each class there is a record for every track, it will show you your competitors scores, your friends scores, or your car clubs scores. It's even set up so you can launch a race from the leader boards.

Then there is the rivals mode. It puts a bounty on your friends times.

 

Well that instantly separates it (in a good way) from GT5. We tried doing competition thread in there but it didnt get far. This means its already setup to easily show you times to compare with. Bravo, I can't wait to play it.

 

Everytime you/someone beats you it throws it in your face in your message box...making you want to beat it. Its highly addictive, possibly the most addictive feature of the game.

I was loving the autocross races. Those are fun

 

Anyone here do any tuning?

I also put a lotus 2-11 in the garage which is disgusting in the autocross... its got very high handling

 

The only tuning I know I brought from years of playing nascar. I drop the car till it starts to hit the bump stops, then go up one. Then I use camber to adjust the tire temperature so it's even accross the tire that turns the most (left tire for a right handed track etc). Anything after that is just messing with the balance of the car. Which can be done with spring, dampening, tire pressure, toe, and anti sway bars. All of them have a slightly different effect, and allot of it depends on how you like to drive.

Dammit civicdriver. That is the first time I used the clutch in the game. There aren't nearly enough buttons on the controller for that to possibly be fun.

I played a loooong time tonight.

I had a blast chasing some of ya'lls ghosts around. I ultimately turned it off after I ate dinner and saw that most of my times have been beaten.

I dont know if its my connection or if the servers are getting pounded. They are taking the servers down tomorrow for maintenance, hopefully that helps it.



I love using the clutch. BTW, I beat your time on the 'Ring GP circuit. Im loving this rivals mode.

i actually got over $20k for beating one of Cochese's times.. the bounty was apparently super high on it...

somebody else beat mine though, wonder if they got more?

I have to admit, I thought this game would be Forza 3.5 and was hesitant to buy it. I'm pleased that Forza 4 seems more mature then 3. Now, debating if I should sell my G25 wheel and get the Fanatec wheel.

 

Just reached Affinity Level 10 for Lamborghini. I thought they would give me a free car but I just got 65k instead
