I think the model really does depend on the car, both gt and forza vary quite a bit in quality (even if you exclude the standard models).

I actually despite the gt5 braking. I have spent plenty of time bombing down dirt roads in cars with no abs and no tread left on the tires. Gt5 always felt like the brakes only had about 3 settings even when I turned the pressure to 0 or 1 using the mandatory off road tires. Then again. I really hate my sixaxis.

yeah, lots of this is personal preference. (I love the PS3 controller, for instance - I think its great for driving games)

WTF? I started the game up earlier and there was nothing mentioned of the DLC. You already have it?

The Aventador is bugging me. It may be because I put a race transmission in it but it doesn't have a 7th gear. I know it does in real life but in the game it doesn't

If you have the race tranny it automatically goes back to 6 gears. Same thing with my Veyron and 458.

This feels like the "2.0" version of next-gen racing should be. i.e. things should fall into place like this, you shouldn't have to do that kind of thing manually anymore.
ehhh yes you can, well maybe not one click but if your car doesn't qualify, it'll tell you and you can adjust settings w/o having to jump out to the garage.

you can even buy parts if your car isn't good enough or don't have the right tires...

oh wait, I don't think I explained it well. In Forza 4, you don't have to do any manual tuning yourself to get your car up to spec for a race because it doesn't match the requirements. It asks you whether you want the specs adjusted, and then you can hit OK and then it shows you what the changes are and how much it costs (if any) and if you want to do it, you hit OK again. And that's all, you don't have to even look at any parts or anything.

While that is nice, I'd rather upgrade and tune a car to how I like not whats auto decided for me.

Part of the fun for me in these racing games is tuning the car and fiddling with settings.

also, as I mentioned earlier, this has much to do with personal preference. (not 'right' or 'wrong')

yes, no longer having any desire to fiddle with settings in a video game makes me less of a car enthusiast.

I guess I prefer driving real cars these days. You know, LFA, GT2, etc.

No, the X2010/11 was GT5 only.

I think there used to be an old xbox car in Forza 2 and possibly 3, but I haven't seen it in this one (havent looked either). I think it was a Seat

I don't know exactly how forza's replay sharing works, but if people can send them to me I can record them through a capture card instead of doing the whole tripod in front of tv thing.

Well It's probably more of a limitation of the equipment, but I'm surprised you can't upload full replays directly to youtube from either of the consoles in hd by now.
