360: Forza 4
I've noticed the saying of ''slow in, fast out'' is a key to this game. If you go into a corner too fast your car will slide and lose a lot of MPH in the exit, so it's better to enter slowly and get the run out the corner onto the straightaways. As stated previously throttle management is key when coming out of a corner, you can't just floor it at the apex and hold on to it all the way out the corner in most cases.
Faaaawk. I had to work overnight last night, just got home and need to sleep so I can do it all over again tonight
No FM4 for me today.
What car was it?
Which track?
Im using the controller for now, but will be picking up the Fanatec soon. Not sure if I want the Elite or just the regular one though.

You got me on that damn autocross track that you did in the Subaru. I think Im .5 seconds behind you. Every time Im about to beat you I hit the damn come on the last friggin turn

The only thing I have turned on is the braking line. No ABS, TCS, Stability Control. Simulation steering and damage too.
No secret here boss
I use manual + clutch in every race. I find that Im much faster with it.
C'mon, its so much more fun without!
Get it.

Interesting, If you have a full list of rivals and you can beat them all. It pays off more to sand bag and beat them one by one.
Okay, they line is actually kinda useful in this game. It helps me slow down allot, which is very important for going fast. If you don't have yourself set up to exit the turn correctly you will loose allot of time.
On that top gear small car star challenge thing. Manual clutch is key. You will loose a half a second on the first straight without it. Don't for get to blip the throttle on down shifts.
After you have leaned to pay attention to the line don't pay attention to it too much, but leave it on so you know where the AI cars will be in the trackdays challenges (they pretty much stick to it unless they are passing)
After all of that Curse at cividrvr

Impressive to those using manual and clutch. I can't even do manual lol I always forget to shift or thinking about it makes me mess up my line then. Probably has to do somewhat with never having a manual car probably.
And about the clutch stuff, perhaps civic has some input on this. I had to mess with the controller mapping to make it anywhere near usable. I have A button as my clutch so I can slide my thumb onto it then to the upshift or downshift. Right bumper is camera and left is handbrake. I wish you could just manually re map the controller instead of playing a puzzle game.

Same thing happens to me. I have been gunning for your elan time with my rwd integra, but the slalom and the last straight I am just a little bit ahead and I just barely graze a cone with my rear fender.
I find that the cones act strangely though. some of them I can set off by just touching the air near them. The ones in the hairpin at the beginning of the GP ring track I can basically knock over with the front of my car and it doesn't care. Especially if I am using my 50's Thunder bird. I can pretty much knock down every cone on the track with the trunk of that car and the game doesn't count it against me.
Civic & one of you other guys have got most of these tracks nailed down. Spent an hour last night & got past a couple of ya'll with the Lotus @ TG & NSX-R @ Suzuka.
And yeah, I use the auto. I can't drive manual with a controller, unfortunately, though I am tempted to buy a Fanatec for this game.

I already posted this once but I guess it didn't save
Finally got around to taking some pictures. Twin turbo SV...

Love this thing...

This thing is insane. And it's stock.

Soon to be twin turbo...

i think ill need to do something about the controller situation too. I kinda cant stand racing with the xbox controller. i even looked at videos of that wireless one, even that looks like a better experience to me than the regular controller. and, I kinda dont wanna buy ANOTHER wheel... Ive owned like 6 over the years lol. the wireless one is compact and only $60.

Ok so I reached level 50 however the points keep going up after with a level 51 showing next but the car list says nothing about this. I wonder if it is some secret cars?
No wheel. I already own a wheel that is ps3 / pc compatible, and never wanted to sacrifice the space to store another.

Accelerator - Right trigger
Brake - Left trigger
Change view - Right button
Clutch - Left button
Look back - Y
Emergency brake - A
Shift up - B
Shift down - X
I find that using my left index finger on the clutch and my left middle finger to modulate the brake the easiest way to do this.

Im going to build that ottoman I posted some pages back and pick up the fanatec. I have a feeling Id be worse with the wheel, but I still want it.
Ill back on after work to reclaim my times

I figured there would be more then 50 levels. It just seems to go by way too quickly.
Oh, so you are either a leading satanist or spawned from the devil himself. Got it. I also would like you point out that you may have beaten my time on the road america auto cross, but I was using a delorean so I still win .

Hahahahahaha Morgan you're going to hate me for this.
I just did the Rivals mode against your time in the Radical SR8 on the Nurburginngngnngng. You beat me by 15 seconds but since I had a clean lap, and you didn't, I beat your time.
I'm ranked #837 with a time of 7:41.262. You're ranked #3180 with a time of 7:26.530. Stay out of the grass son
Oh and thanks for the 25k
Edit: Actually 73,090cr

Took me a couple laps to finally get past you in the Elise at TG, though.
So i got the speed wheel yesterday. immediately played 12x worse than when i normally do. Its ridiculously hard to get used to/play with. Its not like using a wheel which is anchored and always has a center, this thing flies everywhere.
Don't get me wrong, the speed wheel is incredibly accurate, but also very very hard to use. You can see how accurate it is using telemetry
hopefully i can get used to it and didnt waste 50$

Photoshoot of the F at different locations since doing so gets you an achievement lol. I tried making it as close to looking like mine as I could. I hate that you cannot change the position of the car at all.

You can change the position...kinda.
When you pick your car, and then return to the menu and the different shots cycle, let it cycle to which ever angle you want the car then hit "Take Photo."
The car will be left in whatever position it was in during the "eye candy" shot.
So you can't "free" move the car around, but you can let it move itself in about 5-6 different positions.
Heres an example.

Im trying to get a buddy to buy a 360 and Forza, heres his real car.

So in the first pick are the wheels straight on the Miata or are they still always turned. That is the part that bothers me the most. Wish they would at least switch to the other direction or something.
