I got an SD card for the drone. There are 30 feet between the garage and living room. It disappeared I looked for 30 minutes and as it could be nowhere it occurred to me I have an asshole dog and looked outside.

I am in a HOA gated community (HATE IT) no overnight parking, house with the red truck has SEVEN vehicles in the street permanently, (3 are out & about somewhere) HOA does nothing.

Would not be that big of a deal if they were not a freaking hazard blocking the corner I need to traverse to get the f00k out of here. GRRRRRR

What did you get? DJI?
friend of mine has one, insane range. I have an old one, the gimbal is starting to go and the range is no where near what my friend has.

I took a slew of pictures yesterday & just went through them, found I have a broken tile on my roof, oh joy!

How the hell does that happen?

The tile just protects the paper...it isn't impermeable.
They sell a terra cotta caulk adhesive for this, 2 minute job.

Probably just a weak point that snapped from heat if I had to guess.

Only possible problem is how many tiles you’re gonna crack going up there to fix the one that’s already cracked. My parents house have a bunch of tiles that have been glued back and no issues with the adhesive.

I'll sooner give birth than go up there. A friend said they would give me a roofer but has not, I'm dealing with a dying Mom so this is not a priority.

Thanks, it sucks. The worst part is she is in a semicomatose state 99% of teg time, non verbal when "awake" and barely able to nod yes/no at those short times, she is not expected to recover.

She has a DNR, no heroic actions, no hospital bla bla. If she were my dog, we would put him/her out of their misery (she has visible pain & the Dr says she is having hallucinations based on movement) and the fact the movement diminishes with a very low dose fentanyl patch.

Gotta love the state of US medical care.

Mom died at 12:10 yesterday, back from L.A. Left at 6PM, stuck in horrible traffic, went 32.9 miles in 1:20, got home after 1am.

Also, this happened.

Sincere condolences for your loss.

also, regarding the traffic picture, you’re clearly going the wrong way…

Looking for a 2002, found this.

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/la...669929664.html

Vin under the hood:VIN 2571931 Probably a March 1971 car. Pre-Modell 71. So 6-fuse fuseholder, bumpers without rub strips, no knee trim, silver-dollar instruments, short console,

The car has post '74 EVERYTHING, the vin on the motor comes back:

So WTF????

I've tried to like the Z3, the only one that seemed as fan as a Miata was the M Roadster. The 'regular' Z3s all felt more numb/heavy & less lively.

I think with the 190hp 2.8 they wake up. Add the '95 intake and it's 10+ hp gain and I'm hoping to be happy.

We'll see.

Congrats! I've been eyeing a 98-00 Z3M (I can't afford an 01+) as my fun car once funds are freed up for it. They seem pretty under-appreciated for what they are.

All the M cars around here are thrashed. This is a 2 owner fully maintained turn key car. The guy was crazy truthful about the needs (passenger window regulator going out, needs help going back up & rip in driver seat) I said based on that & the price I'll take it assuming no hidden issues. He said he has done all maintenance with receipts & just did the oil pan gasket, oil & filter valve cover gasket, brake flush front brakes, spark plugs, etc.

He called back 5 minutes later and said sorry, I forgot, it needs wiper blades!

I said no problem. lol

I have this kit & manifold coming Monday.

https://m50manifold.com/

And hope to get these Vaders on Saturday, seller will take 1500 picked up.

Yeah it seems like for every one cherry M there's 5 shitboxes. I don't mind a little mechanical work, and high mileage doesn't scare me too much. But I keep an eye on the market just to see how it's trending. I really want an M just because of wider body - I've loved that car since I was a kid.

97+ are all "widebodies" 2000 M & my car

The crazy thing is they are pretty cheap, even pristine low mile Ms are sub 20k which is crazy, I just can't rationalize spending that.

I plan to swap in all the M parts Inside (want black interior, hate tan) as I can get them sub a zilion dollars, freaking door pull (non M, no difference) are 800 new!

Picked up the BMW about 1:30, had an 80 mile drive that took almost 3 hours thanks to a bad crash & typical L.A. traffic. Car was a champ, runs great & no issues until when we got to the hotel with it's 5'10" underground parking that my 6'3" Sequoia driven by my wife got stuck in. When I tried to back out I ripped a sprinkler head out. Big fun.

10 grand and he couldn't even clear the headlight lenses!?!?
Congrats, my friend.
Hugs and kisses for mother. Much love.
Condone this purchase, it'll be miles of smiles.
Shit happens with the roof clearance but c'mon babe...almost a FOOT difference and she didn't think
"let's ease this in"?

It was 4300, thanks, there was plenty of room until it was trapped.

My argument was most places have a sign on chains hanging at the lowest point so you hit before you are in trouble.

I know it's 6'3" she has no clue.

Thanks

6'3" isn't even that low. My work truck with ladder rack is 8.
WOW, no hanging sign? That's on them.

Averaged 9mpg, had a few instances where I was going flow of traffic & leaving a reasonable amount of space between me & the car I was behind where an asshat wanted to pass, I was able to say nope & close the gap. The truck really is amazing!

After it got dark, I turned on the BMWs markers.

Yippee-Ki-Yay, Mothertrucker!

Love this update, thanks for sharing.
Nice to see the wife going on this trip and being supportive of your hobby.
I'm engaged now to my second attempt at marriage and she's flown out to drive home cars
with me 3 times in the last 2 years. Can't ask for more.
Congrats on the ride, I know you'll get it looking and driving great.

Thanks! She likes this car, I wish she were 100% supporting my insanity but the main reason for the trip was my Mom's memorial. I managed to shoehorn the car into it by blind luck!

lol

Your fiancee definitely sounds like a keeper!

9mpg is probably about what I'll see in the Denali on Wednesday, 7 hour drive towing a tandem axle trailer with a Mule on it.

I did cylinder deactivation delete on the 'Burban and actually was getting 17 pulling a small trailer with my toolboxes and various things. Strange.
Sorry to hear about your Mother, my friend. I for some reason though it was "in law". That isn't easy even if it's time.
You definitely made the best of it by getting the car. Now you'll have to keep it forever though!
