I'm at 15 too and a ways to go yet.

If it were up to my wife we'd have like 3 cars our entire lives.

I'm counting My Wife's cars but not the kids (which we paid for) that would add an average of 9 or so as they each had 3 before they left the house.

I'm also thinking I'm forgetting a few.

lol

My wife has had 5
She had a non-convertible LeBaron for her first car, then a 98 5MT Tacoma, the 04 Civic I had when we got rid of my 2G TL, Flex & Exped.

She hated that car, it was long before we met. She had the Civic when she moved to TX & her brother inherited the Taco.
Hindsight, I should've bought it off him when he bought his 16 Tacoma. Would've made a great ranch truck.

Spend money on the things you love, especially if you're lucky enough to have the means to do so. Can't take it to the grave with you after all.

I'm a bit beyond my comfort zone with some circumstance changes coming I'm going to thin the herd and just keep the ones that are fun and easy to maintain/make cool.

Do what you gotta do! Just keep having as much fun as you can.

That said, I hope those circumstances don't lead to you selling anything especially cool like the S2k or Vette.

Oddly enough, the only vehicles I'm focused on selling are the Burban and Audi. DSG is almost cool to drive...almost. I need manual for that platform at some point
in the future (again )
Vette needs to be paid off and S2000 may or may not have a drawer in my toolbox with gofast parts.

Pay that ish off and enjoy it.

Not having a car payment is fantastical.

Enjoyed it for a bit, then the Flex started its decline, and I never really liked the Malibu. Now we have 2x car notes & 3 cars.

If you're lucky to have timed the market and low interest rates, having a car loan is not a bad thing. Loans for cars at this point are 7%-9% which is nuts so paying cash is a good idea if you can afford to do so.

We have a loan on the Subaru because it's 0% and we'd have been idiots to not take that. Tesla, Rivian, and Mustang were (and will be) bought outright.

Yeah, we're in the mid 4s on the 2 we have. Dealer was shocked the rate was so low, as his banks were all in the 6s.
Credit Union FTW.
Still, compared to the 1.9 & 2.9 I had on the F150 & Merc, this is crazy high.

#1 reason I haven't moved on from the golf cart. I've got 2.7% on it for 66 months I believe. One of my CUs is 5.2% for 48mos, the other is 6.2%

More blue, less amber!

Mishimoto silicon hoses.

The result of getting rid of the laurels (which I do miss & wish I had gone less scorched earth)

This is just from no plant matter in the pool, no change in chemicals at all.

I figured seeing as later Tundras had blue switch & control lights, later Sequoias did too, got this panel & rear hatch switch from a 2019. Grrrrr amber I do like the little cubby though.

The HVAC panel is in Idaho getting its LEDS swapped to blue.

Bought this hoping it was blue & to use while mine was away if not. It had black rear seat buttons I took off to put in mine.

My HVAC panel is on the way back, can't wait to be 100% blue!

I took the black rear controls from the 2019 & like the silver bar between the top & bottom.

Funny you say that. My brother who did not speak to our father at least the last 5 years of his life, mostly because he was so demanding, has become more like him.

Maybe I'm just more reasonable?

Also....

Also, also. I want.

I read something about the kindness we show our parents in their older age (our older age) is kindness we are ultimately showing ourselves.
Ego and principles can be so ugly.

Happy happy joy joy!

When Dad died (a week before actually) he reappeared & set out to take over, got the 14 or so Fusion for his 18 year old (I did not mind & figured it was ok) & inserted himself in the sale of the house in Prescott, Az, as I did not want to upset Mom, I let him. After the sale, she moved into my house for about 3 months, (a bit less) and then I moved her to a place in Santa Monica. He has been 99% of her support (his choice when he moved her closer to his house)

He has been very good to her, a bit of a pain to me. Mom has been in cognitive decline for years but it has gotten worse over the last 9 or so months.

Getting old sucks, watching people you love get old is almost as bad.
