That blows.

I got hit with an expensive bill after Jameson was neutered. He got an infection and I brought him to the emergency vet and between the tests and the meds, it was in the $3-400 range.

Dogs are expensive. But not as expensive as kids.

JFC. Dogs.

When I lived in PHX, we had dogs and one day took them to the dog park. I had one on leash (a dobe, mind you) and some mutt ass POS came up and started shit. Mutt lunged at my dog so I stepped between them and got bit on the leg.

Nothing serious, but ended up taking a trip to the clinic to get checked out and stitched up. All in, the whole thing cost me whatever my copay on a clinic visit was, like $75 or $100 or whatever.

Now had I not taken the bite and instead my pup got bit, that would have easily been a thousand dollar vet visit.

Ridiculous.

Vets here are crazy. We had a Shepherd that had kidney failure, took her to the emergency vet, spent 8k, put her down 2 days later.

In Mexico, we had a Lab that turned out to have intestinal cancer, stopped eating. Vet came to the house, put him on an IV & checked him daily for 2 weeks, opened him up found polyps everywhere put him to sleep & it was under 500. (in 2003)

Before this puppy, we had a Staffordshire boy, he was chesty and thought he was going to bulldoze the 8-year-old White Shepherd that is a big girl & was the house alpha, she said fuck you dude, I got between them and got 16 stitches. E-room copay was 75 & the Dr sent a 1200 bill, I said no fucking way, had to argue for months that they got what the insurance paid and if they mess up my credit I'd see them in court (after they sent it to collections)

Yeah, dogs aren't cheap.

Rotary forged isn't a truly forged wheel. It's just a fancy term for flow formed wheels.

So it seems the questions now are is 22lbs light? (don't think so) and what is the load rating?

https://www.rayswheels.co.jp/product...=en&wheel=57DR

Am I missing the load rating? And if it's not there where the hell would it be?

Load rating is for tires, not wheels. Unless you're towing, I wouldn't worry much.

Dogs are expensive but worth it. Finn gets ear infections all the time because floppy ears. Instead of taking him to the vet to get them cleaned (he hates it and $$$) I clean them myself with this stuff we were recommended by a friend. It's basically a hydrocortisone ointment you put into his ears once a day for a week. Been working awesome ever since and it's like $25 with no vet visit, you can get it on Amazon.

It's moot. Tried to buy them last night & there's a 4-8 week backorder.

If you're going flow formed, take a look at Konig and Motegi. They're pretty light, have good designs, and they're cheap. You can get 18lb 18" wheels for well under $300 each.

I've got 17" Motegis on the R that are right around 17lbs each for around $160 a wheel.

22lbs is not light imo. That's what the 2017+ 86 wheels weight. The older (uglier) wheels were 20lbs each.

It just seems silly to spend 3k+ on rims that will never be on a track (plus my ADD would kill me the first scratch they get) Even at 300 per I'll be pissed.

I do like the blue though...

So these are ok?

Kazera Kosei wheels are fairly inexpensive & quite light.
Seems a common alternative to the Enkei RPF1 with the Autocross crowd.

I had a set on my CL. They are very light. But they are also prone to cracking.

+48 is a bit weak. I ran 18x8.5 +44 with 10mm spacers in the rear of my FR-S. I could've gone with 15mm, and the front could've used an extra 5mm as well.

Good idea. Plus that price is ridiculous. Those are $1k wheels in mint condition with new tires. I think I sold mine for $650 with tires that were long gone.

Lurk around NASIOC and you'll probably find a decent set of wheels somewhat locally. That's where I got my Volks.

I thought they were 600 rims and the tires were ok, but putting Walmart shitty tires is stupid.

Looked on NASIOC, lots there none what I'm after. Luckily, I'm in no rush.

Fitment Industries says they offer great pricing, I asked about the 57CR. They said they are backordered for months but these are similar.

https://www.fitmentindustries.com/bu...1219-18x85-30?

Um, in the way I am similar as a human to Aaron Judge, I suppose they are but not as the style of a wheel.

WTF????

Nope.

That's a lot of red flags for me. Unless you were local and able to go look at them in person, I'd pass.

0 feedback on eBay is like a screaming red alarm to me. FFS, anyone can go do a handful of penny auctions to at least build up a token positive rating. If they can't even do that, I don't have confidence they have enough brain cells to rub together. And one picture, not of the thing they're selling? They're either a honest, dumb AF, dipshit. Or a scammer looking for a mark to just hand them money.

Buuuuut.... On the other hand, eBay does protect the buyer, sometimes too well (from the seller's perspective). So if you're a gambler, pay with a credit card through eBay, and then you'll have two means of recouping if it is a scam.

I'm not a gambler. I sent this before I posted this morning:

I am not trying to be rude but your account is a month old and you have no feedback. You post a picture of a car only and when asked for pictures of the wheels reply with one. This is a lot of money, how comfortable would be if the situation were reversed?

No response.
