Rotors are 5x114. I ordered 5x100.

Seller wants me to pay shipping back and for the replacements. looking for a machine shop to drill them.

I had the car off the ground to do the brakes this morning and the car is loud with the stock axleback so I put the nameless back on.

Not really much louder. Definitely throatier & deeper. I used the oem hangers. Maybe the nameless harder ones were the source of the NVH. We'll see.

What?? You ordered the correction thing, they sent you the wrong thing, and they want you to pay for shipping? I'd ship them back with cash on delivery

Ask nicely one time. If they still insist on being stupid, then it's chargeback time!

That's redonkulous.

I argued, and normally I'd fight it but I just don't have the energy for it right now, so much shit going on. I found a machine shop that will drill them for 20 each, it's easier.

Shockingly I'm ok. My Wife is in Mexico and will be until after 1/21 so it will be the first NYE we don't spend together since the Pleistocene era so that feels weird.

I'm mostly sad & working overtime to stay patient with my Mom & Wife both are a mess.

Looks like I'm dodging the Mom moving into my house bullet (today) she keeps changing her mind.

Yup, keeping busy. Looks like I'll be on call again next week. The guy that was supposed to be just quit & everyone else is on leave/vacation/ did not volunteer.

I left early in the rain to get e85 at 4:15 am and was slightly jinking my lane dealing with the radio on the mostly empty freeway with a vehicle behind me with dim lights I thought was an old pickup. Then a dim 'searchlight" came on, I moved over and it was a Pheonix PD Surburban. Odd exchange, my guess is it was the end of his shift and he didn't feel like pulling me over.

thanks

It's not like normal work, it's just paying attention to the network/systems/tickets that are 99% AD password resets/unlocks.

I sit on my couch, pay attention to emails & the ticketing system. (which I pretty much do anyway)

lol

Forgot to post the machine shop refused to drill the rotors. I ordered a 114 to 110 spacer, high speed cobalt bits and a drill press.

Damn dude. Should have sent them back. Seems like a lot due to someone else's fuckup.

But on the other hand... New tools and shit. So I sort of get it.

I would screw that up at least 3 different ways.

End up with 18 holes drilled in the rotor. But play it off like weight savings.

That's why I ought the spacer. I'll just bolt into the 114 & drill through the holes.

Should be easy.

Through some oddness of UPS thinking the "drill press" that was scheduled to deliver tomorrow arrived yesterday.

It's tiny & too small by a fraction to reach where I need to drill & the "table" is too small so I had to use an old carpeted piece of wood I still have from the CLS amp .

So I mated the old rotor and painted the holes, punched the center & drilled it with my IR cordless. Created a return to Overstock for the baby drill press.

They have to.

I'll find out tomorrow or Wednesday. Other than the drilling I just watched movies and 6 or 7 episodes of the new Cosmos all weekend (movies) at Wife disapproving levels. (what she don't know won't hurt me)

First, the first Total Recall 30th anniversary 4k

Then yesterday, unplanned Kate Beckinsale day.

First, watched the 4K version of Van Helsing, then the 2012 BluRAY remake of Total Recall.

Thanks.

Vet said it looks worse than it is and said it can wait until 9:30 this morning.

She is not miserable so I guess they were right.

She'll be upset at 7:30 when she does not get fed.

Here's something I forgot to post.

I got these SS lines for under 11 bux shipped next day.

I was positive they would be wrong & verified fitment before going past removing the wheel.

They are 34 now.

Vet was over 350, cleaned ears, three meds to take home & a shot, total time? 15 minutes. I'm in the wrong business.

I hate forcing her mouth open & shoving pills down her throat.

She is much better.
