Really well. The acceleration is very smooth and it's very drivable even when you aren't at WOT. When that boost kicks in, the acceleration is awesome! Really happy so far.

We ran into a bit of glitch, but got it worked out. I'm happy with the results.

Looks solid, especially on 91. If you have e85, put in a few gallons and get a big boost in octane and cooling.

It's hard going back once you feel the difference a base tune can make.

I'm thinking I better buy and install a catch can. Any insights on this - http://www.burgertuning.com/BMW_335_oil_catch_can.html ?

I had the older bsh cc and it barely caught any oil at all. It wasn't an ideal build being it sat right over the turbos and had slightly restrictive tubing. After about 20k miles of having the cc installed my valve cover started leaking. Not sure if it was from excess crank pressure of the cc or coincidence and just poor vc design. Even with a cc your valves are still going to get carbon deposits, it's inevitable with these cars.

If you decide on a cc, the burger one looks to have the best design but I took mine off my car after replacing the valve cover.

Ha, it's obvious you're a forum veteran being that you know how to use the search function, those guys on e90 aren't the most cordial to people who start threads when it's been covered multiple times. I learned that the hard way here on Acurazine when I first got my cl-s (Gees, joined in 2005, just saw that) and started tons of threads.

Hot damn, beast torque.

So you can smoke 99.5 percent of the cars in your area right? the other .5 percent are the 911 turbos, GTRs, and heavily modded imports.

If by smoke you mean share a Marlboro red cig with the other 99.5% of car owners in Tim's area, then yes. If you meant smoke as in beat in a race, you need to spend one day in the Scottsdale, AZ area and you'll quickly adjust those figures.

Yeah, there are a lot of hot cars around here. I see a 12C almost every day now near my office.

Just to exemplify this point - today going to and from lunch near my office I saw the following on the road: 1 E92 M3, 1 E90 M3, 2 650i's, 1 S63 AMG, 1 Panamera, and 1 R8 Spyder. Not necessarily all "exotic", but certainly not common in most areas.

I can tell you this...love the tune. It's smooth in every day driving and it's fast when I want/need it to be. Very happy with the investment in this change to the car. I should have posted a "thanks" to you specifically for that post in this thread with the word "tune" in it 8 millions times trying to get me to make that my next mod.

Hmmm, stock M5 still wins. Don't get me wrong, the tuned 335 is quite a bit of fun, and it does have more torque than the M5 did, but that V10 had so much power delivered in such a linear fashion that it's just hard to compare.

BTW, my actual M5 pulled up next to me on the road near my office the day before yesterday. It had dealer plates on it, so it must be at one of the local used car dealerships nearby; I'm guessing they picked it up at auction after the Porsche dealer substantially overpriced the thing. I literally felt sick seeing it.

eh, but the oil pump will eventually fail and you'd feel sick footing the bill for a new engine.
