Nothing on the radar. I was only able to get this pushed through the budgetary committee due to the fact that my rear brakes were down to their last few miles.

have you ever found out if F3X M sport brakes can be retrofitted?

Good and cheaper alternatives.

Considering the price you paid for those rotors and pads and how much i have seen they are going for on the forum... might not be a bad idea.. you know you will also get a 4 pot caliper.

you got ripped off
you just have to figure out a way to make it fit, which i dont think it will be hard if it is not a direct swap.

F30/F80 M Performance & M Sport Brembo calipers - NEW

335i Msport brakes for sale

FS: F30 335i M-Sport Suspension & M-Sport Brakes
Well I don't know anything about a swap, but the price I paid for this set was at least 2 to 3 hundred less than I found elsewhere. Why do you say I got ripped off?

I can see where Oono is coming from, as $700 is pretty expensive for 4 rotors, front and rear pads, and was it brake lines? (hard to tell). For the TL you could likely do all that for half the price

However, as expensive as it seems, it seems fair for euro car parts. Actually, it seems kind of on the low end, to be honest. So hey, good job tribe! and let's be honest, those brake parts don't look like they came from the $.99 discount bin either.

Well, the kit is four StopTech rotors and a full set of Posi-Quiet pads, as well as a full can of replacement fluid. It would have been another $130 for the lines.

I realize it's expensive compared to a TL, but that's not what I'm dealing with. Every comparable set I was finding was $850+. A swap like Oono is talking about is way outside my know-how, so I'd be spending a few hundred extra for the install. Even if I did know how, my time bills out at $275/hr; the trade-off is significant.

I feel like you're lecturing me, after I just completely backed you up

I wouldn't do a Frankenstein mod on brakes either. I really don't think it's worth it. There's a lot of things I'll screw around with on my cars, but I respect the brakes. Messing with bias can be a dangerous thing.

It's all good, man

Nice going with the stoptech rotors though. I give my blue seal of approval.

Why do you think I always want him to step on a LEGO brick?

I know exactly how much those cost since i used to sell them. But just keep the swap in mind in case if you want to do it some day. All i am saying is it is not a bad deal/alternative, since it comes with 4 rotors/pads/and more importantly the 4 piston caliper and since it is OEM BMW, you know the quality is just average but they are worthy a lot of $$ when new I believe E92 was still using Single piston front right?

We are so slow, why would we use gas pedals? engine brake is more than enough to slow the car down.

I actually heard the opposite...
I read that if you go to 60mph and let go of the throttle and don't touch brake, the car would still circle the globe 6 times before finally coming to a halt. As long as you're going against the car's rotation...otherwise, you'll circle indefinitely.

They're good. Firm pedal, good stopping power, less dust. So far, so good. The real test, though, will be in a high performance situation to see if they've reduced the propensity to fade.

Cool...but, you feel a noticeable difference!

And good ruck getting this car fast...cuz, as it was said by a famous person here, the 335 is the slowest car made in the universe.

After i drove my friend's new M5 last night, 335/435 is real slow and that is not even a joke anymore. I knew my car was slow, and someone just showed me how slow it really is.

I can almost get to 45, going downhill (30%+ grade), in neutral.

Yeah, well, 260 additional horses and 200 additional pound-ft of torque will definitely change your perception of "fast."

Buy a big ass intercooler, a larger turbo then throw some corn juice in it and you'll be fine

I like that. You're a man of action. You're not like ttribe who's wasting his money pouring money into a car that is so slow, they measure his quarter-mile dash with a calendar.
