Nice and subtle. I need to do something about mine too, the heat is making the from calipers discolor and look like doodoo.

I'm not a fan of painting calipers personally, but since you went with a simple black they do look pretty good.

Its so easy to do something horrific, especially on stock cast calipers. But typically black or silver look decent as long as theyre too eye catching.

Painting stock cast calipers red or yellow is just ricey.

Agreed. I'd never do some eye catching color on stock calipers. But, the silver was looking very bad. Black's a good solution; it looks decent up close and it doesn't scream for attention from a distance.

ETA: I just wish my 335 wasn't slower than a stock Accord.

All you need is the HFP wheels and tires on your 3er and it will be in the same league as the world beating Accord

SSFTSX pro tip #3: set the tire pressure the same as C&D tests to fully enhance the tire cross section.

Update regarding the aero lip - the gentlemen who, with his family, rents our other house, has his own business doing mobile paint repair; does quite a bit of work for some of the local dealerships. Anyway, I asked him to come over and take a look at the aero lip. He thought he could make it right for about $150; I let him take it home with him. Hopefully, it will be on the car before too long.

So, one of my co-workers recently experienced a moment of insanity and traded in his '08 135 on a Cooper S. I decided to mod it for him (without his knowledge or consent) today:

He was amused...but not; all at the same time.

Calipers look good. Something no one would notice makes a world of a difference to its owner.

Painter dropped off the refinished aero lip this evening at my house. I haven't been able to check the color matching in good light, but I can tell the quality of the finish is orders of magnitude better than it was. I'm encouraged and hopeful I'll be able to get this on by the end of the weekend.

I ditched the BMW today for my commute, used this instead:

Went up to Denver for a meeting and then back. I've never flown private before; it was a lot of fun.

Aero lip is on. IMO, the results are mixed. The re-paint is much better. Overall, the look is more aggressive and I'm pleased with that. The fitment is not perfect. However, I saved about $300 over the OEM one from BMW. For now, I think I'm willing to live with some minor gaps. Pics:

That pic tells me I need to do some yard work.

I guess the mod looks good, its just hard for me to focus on it when the background is in such disarray.

Our HOA requires grass in the front and at least a minimum number of approved plants. Our neighborhood is a little oasis in the desert.

My wife toys with the idea of moving there every once in a while since her best friend has lived there for years now (Scottsdale). I told her I could never do it, with two Huskies and no green = not for me.

Your hood will give her hope so I'll ensure she never stumbles upon those pics

Tim the lip looks great! Congrats sir

There are some small gaps but they wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. My A-Spec kit is far from perfect.
