Another productive night with the exception of the stock SC pulley going undefeated for 2 straight rounds.. ..

- Pulled the snout to get dropped off somewhere so they can torch that MF'r off
- AC condenser/rad/heatchanger/oil cooler installed
- Rockers assembled/installed w/pushrods
- Driver header/plugs
- ZR1 pump installed & routed some hoses for the lid since the stock hardlines are deleted
- Timing cover installed
- Ground bolts at the rear of the heads...

Pretty much all that's left is..

- Waterpump
- Crank pulley/idlers/belts
- Connect hoses/bleed coolant
- Oil change
- Install expansion tank
- Injectors
- Install SC

Probably missing something but I'd say 85% ready to go..

Here's a pic of the ZR1 pump vs OEM. Quite the size difference but flows 60% more..

 

ZR1 is a bad bitch, boy...over-engineered it would appear.

Definitely been a heavy couple of weeks going hard on the car. Up at 4am, home at 4-6ish, crush till 8-9ish, rinse/repeat. It'll be all worth it though.

Also doesn't help that I'm slowly dying inside driving the RL every day, seems like when the V goes to sleep, all the cars come out..

Gave it another go with some heat & it took down my corded impact..

Aside from that BS, aiming for first start tomorrow. Just need some final things..

- Swap injectors
- Coil packs
- Oil change
- Coolant
- Install expansion tank
- Bolts/hose for rear steam vents

There's a good chance I'm not getting any sleep tonight. Terrified & excited at the same time..

Yea I have a solid isolator going in. The stock one is toast..

As for the pulley, I'm letting the tech at work go to town on it..

I've read they can be a nightmare or come off easy..
