Definitely feel the same but putting football fields of gap on traffic when the road opens never gets old...

Good call on the catch can and isolator. Hoping to get the blower recall done before the extended warranty expires in May, starting to slightly hear the "marble" sound.

Thanks man. I really want to try the 19x10 in the front..

Weather is slowly starting to turn for the best (ya right.. ), so I decided to replace the blown out DRL that's been bugging me for the last month. With rockstar143 's suggestion, I swapped in some amber leds. Adds a slight aggressive touch to the front..

Some intake porn..

Finished product. I'm sure it'll look much better when the car is black again..

The last few months I've also been getting random lean codes & finally confirmed the suspected culprit. Rubber grommet on the intake pipe was toast & I bet it was from the metal intake pipe.

Countdown to spring is on..

Well my initial plan of a May teardown isn't going to happen, unexpectedly have to float a 2nd property for a bit which kills the V fund.. ...As much of a buzz kill that is, the car is running great so I really can't complain.

Since the last update I dug into the mod pile to keep myself occupied and installed the ZL1 with 3/4" hoses. The stock lid is a real dud in comparison..

Also finally dialed in the ride & got a much needed alignment with some fresh 275's up front. Of course the shop wouldn't touch the camber which is ridiculous considering suspension is their "specialty" ..car handles much better but another alignment is coming shortly to get things dialed in properly..

Here's some recent dirty pics from this weekend...

Holy shit that looks mean.
Dude, camber is one 21MM bolt to move the spring cradle.
So easy.

Thanks man, really makes it more aggressive than it already is

Have 285's waiting to go on the rear, should really add to the look.

I know..

Worse part was that this place was a recommendation from a buddy & even had to go back a second time since the car was off after the initial alignment... uggghhhh

It's not really expensive parts wise.. it just seems like some strange phenomenon
I've always wondered if anyone put a ZR1 lid on their V.. I'm guessing that's one lid that's more $$$

Honestly, lift that bitch, set the cradle where you want it by hand, tighten it up, then just have them straighten the toe up.

So easy yet so hard for some shops to comprehend. Already have had two shops in my ownership period screw it up by not torquing it down enough.

If you have access to a lift this works but on jack stands I can't get the car high enough to get a large enough break bar in there to tighten it followed by the torque wrench at the right angle to even get enough force on it to be tight. Maybe I am just a wimpy little girl though.

LOL...
I had my buddy at Acura do it...he's the fuckin man...he would put on a lift, we'd loosen and adjust together
to where we wanted it in relation to the bolt mark from factory, and then he'd tighten the shit out of it and throw
it on the rack for the toe.

I had one shop get me to 1.75 degrees up front best camber angle I had ever on the car. Looked perfectly flush with the fender up front. Idiots couldn't tighten the bolt right. They finally got it tight but said they were not going to worry about the angle anymore so stuck at 2.75 degree now

So hard to find good help these days.

Tryna tell you...
that said, it's an easy but asinine design for the camber and ultimately castor and toe to rely on ONE 21MM bolt.

A local V owner found a shop that does a proper alignment & actually sets camber so I'm just gonna let them deal with it. Less work on jack stands is always a plus..

The LSA swap community is the best bet for a quick sale. They never last long once they're posted for sale..

Heh.. I just noticed the view out back, that really is a nice house

Oh and that pup.. nice doggos!!

and dang.. didn't see the DRL update..
You pulled the bumper without removing the bottom clips.. teh shit.
I was going to swap the DRL with LEDs too, but too many said they burn out within months.
In fact many just remove/unplug the DRL all together

I had LED amber that lasted me almost 2 years the first time around.
You can pull the headlights with just the top/sides undone, then you leave bottom on and drop the cover low
enough to sneak your ratchet in with extensions. It was the same on the SRX.

indeed, but it made for less than 15 minutes to get the headlights out every time.
It doesn't damage anything, I have a feeling the techs don't even fully remove the
cover for headlight services.

Thanks man & I can't take credit for the house, it's actually my mother in-law's cottage out in the Peterborough area. Definitely nice having it at our disposal whenever we're able to get out there.

Pups love to photo bomb..

LED DRLs are hit or miss but for $20 from Amazon, it's worth the risk. Been holding strong so far...

Looks like I am late to comment on the updates, but the car looks great.

I hope you are keeping good notes on parts/prices and sources.....it's going to come in handy......

Did you roll the fenders, I may have missed if you mentioned that or not.

Is there any sway bar upgrade necessary/available for the V once you get in to lowering the stance?

I can most def help out sourcing parts. You jumping ship?

Fenders are untouched, may have to massage the rears for the 285s but nothing too drastic.

There is a sway bar upgrade which only comes as a set with F/R bars for the low price of $1100 US... .. it's not a necessary upgrade but it transforms the car from what I've read. They're on the list.

I know I said it before but I will mention it again. The talk on the sway bars is the truth. Get the adjustable beefed up endlinks too. Still the best modification I have done to the car to date. More power is always fun but they really do totally change the handling feel of the car.
