rockstar143's 2013 CTS-V SUV Wagon Thread - GM Owner & Cut Springs
#2401
I'm not sure, man...I don't even know how it's supposed to be repaired. My buddy said most places won't touch a wheel that's already been repaired like that.
Since the 19" DW are on the way already...I'm considering pushing up my search for some 19" aftermarkets...have to be a spoke design, obviously...
there are a set of Forgestar CF5V that are ready to go right now...but almost $1800 with shipping. I do like the finish though, super nice...and probably pretty light...

I am surprised no one will fix it. How big is the crack? I have seen wheels repaired from cracks and when they are done correctly they are just as strong as they were originally. They need to cut, grind, or drill that old weld out first though obviously.

I think it's fixable, but you want to get it done by a pro

Go to car-part.com, I populated the fields with the following criteria:
2013>CadillacCTS>Wheel (display w image)>All areas/Select an Area>Sort by part Grade/Select Sort>33328.
Pick the wheel/Size on the next image screen, maybe you will get lucky and find something.

Bird is the Word
The OEM wheels fit the car so well. Going aftermarket is always hit or miss. On a car like yours, you don't want to cheap out on wheels if you want them to look good on the car. Paying $250-$350 for OEM may seem like a lot, but it's a lot less than spending $1500+ on an aftermarket set that doesn't look good once mounted. Remember... you now have to pay that 'V' tax. It comes with the territory when you own a car like this.

Maybe it's just me, but $350-ish for a forged 19"?
Sounds pretty damned attractive to me!

I was going to say 'make sure and take the S' to FT. Meyers to help wash petrol expense. I kid, I kid.
The easiest way to figure it out would be if you had the 'window sticker' from the previous owner. That would list the wheels/codes etc.. Otherwise, a quick call to Cadillac in the morning would glean the best result. :twocents:

Cadillac CTS (2010-2014). #19300997: Wheel.
This site has the different part numbers as different wheels altogether! Check out which one is yours!

Almost like the target market of that particular automotive manufacturer isn't expected to do anything themselves, rather they just rely on the dealership to take care of everything for them...

My dad got one of those wagons new in 1995. That was the year they were actually kick a** with the impalla SS LT1. The biggest sleeper station wagons.
I remember having to move out of the frat house back in 2001 and I borrowed it to move my stuff. I remember doing donuts one time in the parking lot of the house for peoples entertainment. Ahhh the good old days.

yeah sub $300 for a forged oem wheel is not bad at all and a much better idea if you still don't know what you want aftermarket wise.
