I agree wider tires in the rear are a must on that setup in the pics
Is it possible the other wagon has a full face wheel with no lip? I have always believe you need to go 1in larger if the wheels have a lip. I love 18s on my TSX but if the wheel has a lip then 19s look better to me. On my ISF I had 19s for winter wheels with a full face wheel and 20s for the rest of the year with a lip. That being said 19s don't look bad on the V but they definitely need to be full faced wheels then.

Plus if I go with 21s then it would be a step lip wheel like those ADV.1 on the blue V. I even love those wheels but I am not copying that V.

Serious though.. if you really want a tire to put it down, NT555Rs all day.
Some guys daily drive them too.. I wouldn't recommend, especially in FL.

PS...I was told I can get Vossen for 40-50% off MSRP.
I mean, I know they're not authentic or anything but...
The only knock on the DW is they have a bit of a softer sidewall than the PSS. So you have a little more cushion to your ride but at expense of a worse turn in. They are still good but I have been very tempted to try the PSS but the cost has kept me away when I can get even without a discount DWs for about $400 less than PSS. With the discount it is basically a no brainer. You can buy 2 sets of DWs for the price of a set of PSS right now.

the "right" move is to buy another front wheel to replace my cracked/welded one, smooth out the faces as much as I can and then just pay to have them powdercoated...
I saw a rootbeer bronze color on a set of mugen wheels yesterday that have me thinking they would look awesome in that color. In addition, it's the same color as brake dust

Probably $250 for a wheel on ebay (one listing I saw)
another $350 for powder...

$670 for new DW, might as well have a matching set of fresh rubber on there.
$100 mount/balance...

So...all in $1300...
OR...
I was quoted about $2000 for these one 20's with TPMS and Sumitomo tires all around, mounted balanced and installed.
So almost does make sense to just say fuck it, and get new wheels and just store the stocks.

but again, nothing is a rush, with as little as I drive, even with burnouts...I can probably go another few months on the tires I have.

Just buy one set of fronts and two sets of years. That way you can work on making some more sig worthy videos J

I will say that the last set of tires I put on the TL were PSS and it was night and day...they were so comfortable and quiet...handled well in all conditions. I was SUPER impressed. So if I can get away with ONE set of rear PSS a year for $700...and a set of fronts every 2 years or more...
might be worth it.

I heard the DW can sometimes be noisier than PSS too.

They can order whichever ones you want and so long as there's the $70 rebate, you'll get the discount off the total price at checkout.. This upcoming month is Bridgestone though, just missed Michelin coupon.

Nice, Joe...
what are your front tires?
You ain't running square ya fuckin liar!

the $70 starting tomorrow would be good as hell for that deal, you'd end up at $600 for a set shipped to your door.

I might do that...that's too good to pass up. Then I'll narrow my search to ONLY 19" authentic wheels
Even my buddy that told me about the vossen deal...he said they have the work collabo and then the full on forged ones but with the discount could still run 4-5K
Then I said, well my oem wheels are forged and not too heavy and he's like...uh...then why not just keep those.

Plan A is to buy an undamaged set with tires and just sell mine off for minimal loss.

In case anyone cares...Costco is:
$217 per tire for bridgestone pole position
and $264 per tire for PSS for costco members only. Not a bad deal for 19's...but at almost half cost, I might have to give the DW a shot.

I believe this is true.. in the monster's of grip test, they said the DW took the most driver inputs at the limit, but grip fell predictably off.

J, it tied in the sound arena.. must be your cut springs brah!

Shiet...I might buy a set for real.
Betty would be VERY happy if I did NOT go aftermarket wheels...
although MAN did my car look bland at C&C yesterday...I was shocked at all the people walking around it gawking because it didn't look out of the ordinary.
Or maybe I'm just used to looking at my own unicorn now. #privilege

I think they claim it as a preorder and then process it tomorrow.

surprised you didn't quote this

A little more “D” in the “DW” would go a long way.

I think the right answer is to refinish my oem wheels...
forged authentic wheels bruh?
Yeah, I already got them.
Every time I see a Caddy and think it looks awesome I look closer and it's powdercoated oem wheels
Even the other wagon I saw yesterday was on aftermarket wheels (Wagzilla plate from NY...turns out I've seen him at C&C before)
and I didn't think it looked as good as mine.

That would make Betty happy...that would keep me from being $2000 deeper into the car...and it would feel more practical. Most of the time when I go aftermarket I enjoy the "different" look but always think WTF did I buy those when I put the oem back on and see how good they look.

My fellow Asian money saver crew has spoken.
Tires must be ordered ASAP...
I'll deal with powdercoating in the next few months when the rears are worn.

Remember to cut your springs first. You don't need new tires until the steel belts are worn through on your existing tires.

I just placed order...
had a balance of $115 in paypal I used toward it...
$678 shipped...did the "hold order until $70 deal thingy"

Done.

thanks for the push...it was one of those things where I was waiting for the deal to pass or there to not be more stock to be like, awww man....oh well. But really, I knew it was the way to go because the rear tires won't be good for much longer. Not sure why... My tire/alignment buddy was like...uh...I thought it was funny you shared with me the mean burnout video then asked me why my tire toe was off

Also, I don't think the DW are as wide a sidewall as the PSS so easier to fit.

I am worried about mine. I was going at it on the highway with a heavily modded early 2000s Camero and tried to get right to the rev limited before shifting and bounced it hard off the limiter at full throttle cause of the damn lag it has with the paddles. Still beat him but it sounded terrible when I did it.

Glad you finally came to your senses and ordered.

I can't wait till it is time to install mine in early Dec so I can kill my rears just before I go to tirerack. I just hope they last that long. I need them to make it about 1800 miles still and they are already looking a little bald.

Hmmm...CaddyLac has me wondering too...he sells the milled and reinforced ZL1 lid for $760...
or if your car can be down, you can do the $50 service where you ship to them, they hit it flat again with a hammer and then weld a gusset in there...

We'll see...

oh and with the green filter...i saw my boost gauge go up past to either 10 or 11 psi mark roughly...
I probably should have looked at what it used to hit but I don't recall it ever going past the 3rd tick mark which ends up being 9...
