I will probably have them clear coated though, although the oem protection isn't totally gone yet so I'm in no rush.

Yeah that is a no go on that mod. You give up the turning headlights to fit the EVO according to that thread.

Not to mention having to open the friggin headlight, and removing stuff and retrofitting which I've never done.
No thank you!

Yea, you give up that for a much wider and better/brighter headlight. The benifits FAR outweigh the negatives Ive seen those headights on the road, they look like little candles in comparison.

Get Beer, call friend over, Remove headlight, place in oven, remove lense. Remove anything (if anything) fit projector in, test, place headlight back in oven, reseat lense, put to the side to let cool, drink few beers, reinstall on vehicle, aim/adjust, sit back finish off said beers and enjoy the scenery you were missing.

I'm saying I have no interest in attempting it and having to worry about knowing that I've now opened my factory sealed lights and future troubleshooting.

I will not be opening these lights.
I've never retro'd...
I'm happy with the output and cutoff of stock projector
I have zero desire to lose the amber in these headlights.

took some close studying to figure out how to get the bulbs out and unplugged...
I love the simplicity of Murica'n cars...the wiring to the fogs and headlights are like a foot long so you can pull away from the car to unplug

while headlights are out you have clear access to the fog lights so decided to give these morimoto 2 stroke fogs a shot...damn, sexy!

amber fogs were cool to look at when looking AT the car, but provided no usable light, unfortunately

If I had to guess...with all the dust in Oklahoma they probably wiped the engine bay down dry repeatedly and kinda sanded it off.

Hey, I'm keeping it within reason, man!
Yes, I believe the cargo storage cover should have been included.

Damn those are some serious lights. What was the total damage on them? You have me tempted now with how that looks although I had been planning on some bright yellow fogs. Do they make them in yellow?

I don't think so, Jason...I bought them from the retrofit source and couldn't even choose the color, just hoped they'd match the lows.
Honestly, they were pricey but with the 20% off, it was okay to me...$260 shipped for LEGIT CBI and the 2stroke LED. I really am
trying to avoid running extra relays and HID harnesses and such, I wanted the simplicity of the LED...

Jason, use regular bulbs like J did, and then put yellow film over the fogs. The film adds a bit of crack protection from rocks and gives you the yellow look at all times, instead of when just the bulbs are on. I have a feeling you'll be happier going with the film. Easy to take off if necessary also.

If I wanted the yellow look I'd go with teh nokya bulbs...maybe even that yellow film over it.
biggest gripe with that is i've never liked how the yellow looks when the bulb is off...
although our fogs are tiny projectors...so you probably can't see it.
