Needs external mic, brah.

I played around with placement and found right on the license plate got a decent exhaust sound without too much wind noise using just a regular foam mic cover. No fuzzy wuzzy.

yup I had lined him up to sell it too before I even had placed the order for my new exhaust. Then he decided to sell and I was like crap now I need to put it up for sale and hope it sells. Found you posting on ctsv forum and well now the rest is history.

Also, your comment about it being so black when you drained the rear diff fluid. I did a change 10k miles almost on the mile from when I did my first and it was still that black. It is crazy what that diff does to the fluid. Mine both times has only taken 1.5qts as well. I am going to change mine every 10k from here on out even though that will be 1.5-2x a year at the rate I drive but I would rather do it than replace a diff with as much as they cost. $35-50 in fluid at most 2x a year is much much much cheaper. Haven't heard my rear diff noise in a while either.

I love the crack pop it is awesome. The crackle pop I get now is about 2-3x as loud as from the Corsa Touring. (I had no idea what it was really beffore you determined it to be that)

Wow...3X more!?!?
Sureeeee you didn't know it was the touring....SURE!

I ain't even mad bro...I already got an earful from my faithful partner that it sounds muy loud from outside the car. Still need to take her for a ride to prove I wasn't lying and it sounds nice inside the car.

Thanks for that info on the diff...it was retardedly easy to change out...
have you done your transmission fluid? I've read that it's fucking annoying and the entire process is actually 12 quarts.

And wow...wagon, recaro and 6MT on cargurus popped up...$76 fucking thousand dill chairs. Insane.

Well now you got me thinking again.... I have been going back and forth for a while now between the Sport and the Touring, even considered the Borla's. I must of listened to hundreds of video clips, and even though I don't want the Caddy to be too loud, for some reason in most of the videos the Touring doesn't sound much louder than stock so I was going to go with the Sports.

But now that you mention that your wife thought it sounded obnoxious you have me thinking maybe the Sports aren't they way too go. I usually don't mind a loud exhaust, but for some reason with the V I'm not sure if I want it to sound too obnoxious, so I think I am back to square one trying to figure out what to do... BTW have you heard it from the outside during a drive by?

At least for me my wife won't care either way, cause when I had the the C6 GS it had the NPP exhaust and I always kept the baffles open. It was loud and she never complained once, and with the V, even if I put on the Sport's it won't be nearly as loud as the Vette was with the exhaust open.

I won't lie...that was a huge fear for me too, JT...making the V, a really docile quiet perfect gentleman's car into an annoying cam shaking loud bitch.
So...that said, it is definitely just barely above OEM sound...but it's there...behind the car at startup, there's no denying it ain't stock. I have not had my wife drive by so I could hear from outside
but that's on the agenda.

I figure if I wanna be a dick, I can always do cutouts in addition to...my biggest fear was going too far away from comfort and quiet with exhaust and luckily, that didn't happen. They look fucking awesome with the black and chrome trim accents...they sound great at WOT (That's when you really hear this thing) and I got a killer deal on them. If I were doing it over again, I would likely go with sport, even if it's just nominally louder.

Bro, I saw exactly same car couple days ago. First time in Mass. too.
I followed him on highway, took the exit he took, I was about to get out and ask him how much for the car but then green light came on and I went back on highway

for those interested in sound OUTSIDE cabin... night and day, even I was surprised at how obnoxious it sounds to my poor neighbors now because it's tame inside the car.

fun to picture other people's faces seeing that ass make a loud roar and then be 200 yards past the light before they even have time to press their accelerator.

thanks brother!!!
one tip sticks out further than the other, which annoys me...but based on how they went on the car, I don't see how to adjust it any...
I think only I would notice it...
I have to say it sounds fuckin MEAN listening to that video!

It is insane how quiet the exhaust is for regular driving in the car isn't it? Then you step on it and it is complete business about waking everyone in the neighborhood up. Glad you enjoying it.

I never really heard my exhaust from outside the car

I think it's the angle of the picture. You're slightly off to the right of the car so it makes the left rear wheel almost look hellasick cambergang but the right side looks a little hellawack teenywheel.

Funny thing is the driver side lower perch is the one I had to pull out to give max camber to avoid fender rub due to the entire rear cradle being presumably off center. Alignment showed -2.4 driver -2.1 passenger so I left well enough alone and had toe straightened up...
my OCD is making me really want to bring in both wheels for max positive camber but I'd have to remove spacers to avoid rubbing. Maybe next round I'll do that because right now I'm enjoying the flush look a lot (even watching it in that video).

PS...I did the testing, spacers on for a month now and I've done many burnouts and doughnuts, Joe...order away...they ain't fallin off!

I wouldn't have a problem with this being my neighbor, but then, one of my neighbors has 2 Ferraris. As long as you're not obnoxious with it, it wouldn't bother me.

Kam you callin me a liar?
We need more pics and vids of YOUR wagon! Did you order your cutouts?

I feel you, man..2 ferraris! Wow, you must live in the hood!
I am, I rarely punch it unless I'm exiting out neighborhood, not when I'm on the through streets (all streets in my neighborhood end in a dead end, no passing through traffic )
