Its stock piping to Corsa mufflers Yes I know.
No cut outs ever. Those marks are actually heat shielding that is right by where the driveshaft connects to the rear diff. I think I have a leak there and that is why they are black and not silver like it should be.

Those pictures you posted in your driveway after the headlight mod are A1, J. Clean shots as usual. I still find it weird that a wagon, of all cars, can excite me this much.

Considering I've been patiently waiting for 2 months for him to get the new exhaust, I definitely knew that!
I thought those were previously installed cutouts too!
I wish you were close enough to drive to, Jason, but alas...it won't be a big deal, just need to measure as instructed and cut...what do they say? Measure once cut thrice?
I look forward to getting them! Just let me know when you think you'll ship and I'll paypal you.
D, thank you...yesterday I took my cousin for a ride in it and he was floored (get it?)...he as like, dude, that kinda acceleration and hoonage and you're in a fucking badass wagon!

That's awesome...I'd just need to hide the brake lights from view...then do a massive burnout to make it really worth watching.
I may or may not have received a particular corsa product today.
Fatty...I'd love a sharp cutoff...but I'm way too timid to do any dremel and gluing. Maybe one day I'd take you up on your offer but for now, I'll pretend it's 1988 and try harder to look down the road ahead.
J.

Corsa I get compliments quite often from car people on how my buzzy little rice rocket sounds. Zero drone.
Secondary cat delete, add resonators to that bitch yet? That's usually a good formula for a really throaty sounding V8. I would cat delete, but not the primaries.

Okay, so...left work on time and picked up the kid...hauled ass home.
Jacked car up from the back, got the fan going to cool off the mufflers...and got to work.
Fuckin' Jason
upon closer inspection now that it in my hands...I realized this is in fact the Corsa Touring and not Sport.
in preparation I scotchbrighted and polished the exposed tips since you'd be looking in that area more now
taped up, measured, let's do it
Had a bitch of a time outfitting the new ones...probably because they come from factory stretched out and aren't intended to be tightened down and removed and then reinstalled...it was SO tight, tried spreading them, lubing them...ended up having to go H.A.M. with a rubber mallet and using my legs to keep the pipes in place.
In a way, I'm glad it's the touring...because after starting up and going down the block at a high rape of speed...my wife said it sounded obnoxious from the back (translation: perfect ) without being overbearing or droney in the cabin. Keeping up with the whole theme of Chuck Norris in a Tuxedo...I'm happy. If I want more, I can always longtube, remove cats, and/or go with the qtp cutouts down the line. For now, I'm super happy. When I punch it now, it's a balance between the front whine and the rear grumble where before I'd ONLY hear the SC whine. In addition, it seems like the car accelerates faster...maybe it's in my head, but I really didn't expect to "feel" more power from this...so it surprised me when I thought I did. In addition, it looks gorgeous on the back of the car with the stainless mufflers and polished double rolled joint tips. Thanks again Jason(tin) for a great deal...great sound, more H peas, and looks cool. Can't be that.
The less fun stuff.
Well, when I installed the springs, I noticed the driver side magneride shock was leaking...wiped it off in hopes it was a fluke, but now, the entire bottom half is coated which GM describes as "stage 1", the worst leak. So new ones ordered from rockauto...ordered both rear although I'll probably sell the passenger side one that is NOT leaking back on ebay. $494 delivered, not bad...if fronts go, I'll do the same for them.
and while I was down there, and since I had preemptively ordered the stuff Majofo yelled at me to get...I leveled out with all my jacks and went ahead and did rear diff. Shiett...I wonder if they ever did it...it was black with little viscosity. I'll probably do the tranny next too although engine oil does look clean and good.
only took 1.5 quarts to fill back up...
For a 74K mile car that is driven like it's been stolen...I cannot say that I am disappointed with the upkeep thus far. She makes a ton of power, uses some gas...but what a thrill it really is. So far, between Betty's and now mine...I am impressed with Cadillac and GM. This afternoon I'll give the foam cannon and electric pressure washer a whirl on the ole girl and get some decent shots with the exhaust. Honestly...it adds something it needed...a little pizzazz out back to let you know it means business.

It's a pan drop. The filter is internal, you pretty much buy the whole kit from GM. Let me find some links.
