Congrats on the pickup and what a story, the oil cap & hail had me like

My mom's AP2 came from New Jersey and when we took delivery of the car, there was hail damage on the trunk and a slight bit on the hood, but it's not super noticeable so we decided to leave it b.

Damn, you came through on Sunday when those storms hit? There was an EF-1 tornado in Gurnee.

Thanks for sharing the story! The car looks great.

There is definitely a correlation with people getting TL/ TL Type S's and then the s2000... it's only inevitable now. Kev, get your TL quick! It's a prereq for the s2k apparently

Great story btw!

Nice pickup on the NFR. Glad you got it home with no problems. Now, clean those exhaust tips pronto!

Congrats ALarsh! Welcome to the club. Get that thing shined up and ready for what's left of summer.

I'm already sad that I'll have to put the S away for the winter soon.

Sam:
What is this "end of Summer" you speak of?

We don't have those in Florida.

We're missing a lot of the things that make Florida, Florida too...

But summer is nice here. Currently 70 and mostly sunny.

Brother, I was only open to AP2 the first go around. Seeing more and more modded AP1 and the 9K redline made me really appreciate the AP1 a lot more. I was open to it but the deal I got on my AP2 was just dumb luck and that's why I have another.

I love that you can cheaply/easily tune the AP1's...and the 9K redline. People that tell you they can feel the .2 liters of more displacement and additional 14 ft/lb torque...

I don't know...
there's something classic and simple about the heads/tails of the AP1.

that said, there are some inherent weaknesses to look for in the AP1's that the 04/05 AP2's don't have...but I can't remember exactly what.

The AP1 is pretty brutal. The AP2 is still raw but not even on the same level.

The inherent ability to unintentionally rotate the car with any throttle application while driving on wet roads?

I had it in sport mode...fwd v6 and it lit the front tires up and didn't override me downshifting too early. I dug it. I'm just cheap.
