Took a small road trip with my Accord last weekend and was surprised to see what my MPG was .. especially after the heat (85f - 90f) and higher speeds (80 - 85mph). My first tank lasted me about 408 miles and it took only 13.2 gallons of fuel .. that's just about 31mpg! Even with a blowout on the freeway.

Love this car's highway mileage .. I bet I could have gotten over 33 had I stuck to the speed limit with a little cooler conditions.

On a side note, I pulled next to a 7G 6 speed sedan yesterday at a stop light. His window was down .. so I asked how much he wanted for his car.

He chuckled and said it wasn't for sale .. bummer.

^ Nice mileage. I used to get 33-34mpg on the highway. Those days are long gone for me with the MS6 lol.

What the hell happend to your tire? Did you run over something on the freeway? EDIT: Never mind, just noticed they're NEXENs. My sidewall cracked on mine as well. You should definitely invest in some better tires next time.

What kind of mileage are you getting on the MS6? I know it's hard to stay out of boost

I examined the tire and I actually ran over a sharp object in the road .. I had nearly a 1" hole on the tread of the tire (luckily it was my rear). Glad the tire didn't completely disintegrate considering I was going about 85mph ..

discounttiredirect.com

for example, my normal tire size is 225/18/40.
the Falken 512's are $92 each. free shipping, and you receive a $30 pre-paid visa card.

Wow that's surprising with the BFs. I would never guess quality tires like that have weak sidewalls. NEXENs on the otherhand, I guess it's kind of expected. I too have had great luck with Falkens, but I'm super happy with my current Continentals.

The weird thing about the MS6 is it's about the same whether it's all highway or mixed highway & city. I always tend to get 23-24mpg in the warmer months, 20-21mpg in the winter.

On my cross country trip, I scored some TL-S wheels and a J-pipe. Just installed a rear sway bar and AEM V2.

gr8ness, pics of your car with TL-S wheels?

I think the Accord pulls off the honey comb wheels a lot better than the TL-S itself , especially with the HFP kit!

^ I agree with you on the headlights. Black DEPOs would make that car so much better. Not personally a fan of that much camber/poke on the rear wheels either, but the car is super clean.

But I think it pulls off the cleared headlight look well. Never seen one on a 7th gen.

I agree!

I plan on installing the wheels this weekend. Now, I have a set of 5 spoke TL wheels to post FS in the BM.

Even though everyone will say they're played out, I'm still a fan of black wheels with a polished lip. I'd get black center caps, too.

I think 3G wheels would look better than your wheels with black spokes, but painted black would look better on your car.. if that makes sense.

Got my lightweight crank pulley put on, nice little boost in throttle response and 1st gear starts.

Rockstar, you install your exhaust yet?

Too bad they're 19s though, I'm looking for some lightweight wheels at around 15lb/ea.

Test fitting some wheels tomorrow ...

If I buy them, there's going to be a lot of contrast.
