My roommate hates his golf VR6 and after totaling his 1G CLhe wants to go back to Honda family. What would you say if you compare 03-05 accord coupe 6mt to Acura CL Type S 6MT ? Which one to get ? I have a CL i know the answer but it would feel weird that he's gonna get same car i have ? Any input of Accord owners ?

Id go with the Accord.

Yea smaller engine, but its a newer generation and I like the dash layout on the 7G Accord much more then the CL.

I like the Accords updated dash vs the 2G CL / TLs. There are also a lot more of them around .. good luck finding a semi-low mileage CL-S 6 speed in your area.

I had an 07 EX-L V6 Navi for three years (leased) and never had any transmission issues. As a matter of fact, the car was mechanically sound and trouble free the whole time we had it. I personally recommend it.

I appreciate the response, I also know you are the resident Nissan-er of Acurazine, so I figured I would ask you. Considering, price, performance, and most importantly reliability, what would you give the nod to based on the following : the 06-07 Accord EX-L V6 coupe/sedan vs. 02-03 Maxima or 02-04 I35?

My first car was a 2000 Maxima SE... It was a piece of garbage, but I attribute that to the previous owner, outside of that I loved the car, then I had the 02 TL-S which I had my issues with also, but loved. So I figured the 06/07 Accord and 5.5 gen maxima/I35 would be pretty similar to my previous two cars.

I liked the A33 VQ35 more than my 07 Accord. However, the Maxima/I35 are much older vehicles than the 06-07 Accord so they are likely more prone towards have reliability concerns at this point.

My recommendation (as is your preference) is the 06-07 AV6 EX-L 6MT. You'll get the same performance as the 5.5G Maxima 6MT in a better handling package (IMHO). If you go with the 06-07 AV6 5AT, it won't have quite the same performance as its 4AT Maxima/I35 equivalent but it'll still handle better and midrange is respectable.

Any of you got any 5 lugs OEM rims for my 07 4cylinder LX?

I wanna get rid of those hubcaps.

I prefer the 16" ones but 17" will do. But must have decent amount of rubber left.

May, and I cannot wait haha... so over the Altima, am very disappointed with the little nuances it has.

^+1. Your sedan was nice Esco.

Test fitted some wheels to make sure they would clear my BBK. Much to my surprise, they did.

Lol well the wheels need some work before they go on. The lips need refinished, and I am not liking the purple w/blue rivets, especially with red. I also want to widen the outer barrel for the rears by 1”, because right now they are all 18x8 +38. Need to see where that gets me offset-wise in the rear.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
And yeah it’s close! About 1/8” actually. The RH C2000’s I had were close too, about ¼”, and that was to the factory calipers. I really thought these wouldn’t fit, I was so surprised they did.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Here’s one on the rear. I need 225/40, I'm not low enough to need these stretched 215's.

that sucks. Watch out for scratches on the lip, hopefully it's not something that a little polish can't take care of.

I had weights on the outside of my wheels, when I got these new tires they got rid of the outer weights. Not something that mattered on stockies, but I'm glad they're gone.

I always specifically mention to put weights on the inside of the wheel. I don't trust anyone to do quality work anymore, unfortunately.

Thanks! And yes, it's got a weird look to it with stretch/gap combo

Yes, 18x8.5 +25
215/40/18 tires.

With the drop, they will fit perfect. Might not even need a fender roll

His excuse was I didn't specify and that I should never use the inside weights bc it doesn't work as well.

1. I never have to ask, they've always assumed on all of my aftermarket wheels.

2. I don't give a fuck, it tears up the lips and looks like crap.

I honestly didnt even know they still used the lip weights. Even new cars use the weights that stick onto the barrel.

question:

Does 06+ accord all have some kind of positive camber in the front?

Mine looks like it does and after alignment it says + 0.7

I have noticed other 06+ Accord have similar look, especially with hubcaps (LX)
