PM me, i can get you one.

Most likely need the difuser as well since you will need to cut the rear bumper to fit the quads.

Noob here. Question about the service indicator display on an E90. My display indicates that my rear brakes require service. Is there a sensor which monitors brake wear or is the display triggered by certain km intervals?

I cannot believe how much more powerful the car seems to be getting. I am at @ 9k miles now and the motor feels smoother and more "together" everyday. The car feels like a beast. Not a squeek still. This thing is somthing else.

edit: mileage is getting better, too I am averaging closer to 19MPG. I wanna get 20 consistently and i will be EXTREMELY happy.

Scrib, did you get your car back? Did they finally fix it?

I'm having early signs of a bad HPFP =(. Rough idle in the morning and when the engine is cold. Sometimes I get a "check engine" icon in the dash with an "Engine Malfunction. Power Reduced" message in the iDrive screen.

I knew about this issue when i bought the car and my car also falls under the 100k HPFP warranty, so i'm not too worried.

I like the stock 19s better but if you have the stock 18s then yea, i think those VMRs look great.

Might look funny without a drop though.

I was thinking of taking them straight over to the powdercoater and having them done gloss black. Gloss black is the new matte black IMO.

Or maybe i'll just buck up and get the HRE's in gloss. WTH it's only $.

I have 19's now. I also thought of buying some factory 19's and having those powdercoated gloss black.

I hear you on the drop. I just am really nervous about f'ing with the suspension, it's tuned from the factory so well.

I agree. Ride comfort and handling right out of the box is amazing.

I debate sometimes if i want to put the stock springs back in.

Let me know if you want a price quote on HREs. I have an account with them.

What's the breakdown between city and highway? I am basically 100% city and getting 19mpg.

Yes, so far so good. They replaced the junction (fuse box) and put the car through a lot of tests (so they say).

They ended up extending the warranty on the car for another two years, which is just incredible.

As a general rule, I would never do just springs. I've done it before, and it resulted in a bumpy ride, with camber issues. In less than a year, I went back to stock springs, and my shocks were never the same. Your ride looks great stock. It must ride even better. I wouldn't touch it!

No way dude.... I'm sorry, P40s do look really nice, but that finish wouldn't set off your car at all, and they're way too common for such a high-end wheel. I'm not a fan of all-black wheels either, especially matte black ones. They usually don't have that visual pop like other wheels do. I guess it looks better on white than it does other colors, and it sorta goes with your theme.... but I still wouldn't do it. Your current 19's look better

Have any of you guys seen the new Z4 in person? It looks fantastic, but the sticker on the ones at the dealership was around $60k

One of the neighbors added that to his fleet. Looks good, but I don't know why he needs it, he already has a TechArt Magnum, Bentley convertible, and a very nice looking Mini S. Seems like a waste, but definitely a nice looking car.

E9x M3s have an M-button.

Article talks about the MDM feature.

And yes, I would be scared to have this car after the warranty period is over.

Its my favorite BMW design currently. From the articles I have read, they say it lost some of its sportiness from the last gen. Sucks.

Yeah I think it looks awesome too. I just had my 335 in for service on monday and we checking them out. They also had a new m3 listed at $90k... However that $60k price tag on the z4 blew me away. My ex step dad had 2 zs, A z3 M power edition and a z4. The Z3 was fun as shit to drive. I LOVED the z3 coupe .(the hard top model). I think that was the sexist hatch ever made.

I JUST CHECKED IT OUT ON MONDAY. For my 335 it was $1400 to extend 4yrs and up to 100k miles. However YOU MUST BUY IT before you hit 50k miles. If you are at 50,001 MILES you can NOT buy it. If you buy the ext. warranty before 35k miles its cheaper. The longer you wait, the more you pay. Also, you have to pay a $125 inspection before you can buy the warranty. You pay that out of pocket. Hope that info helps jesal.

Are you sure that was to extend the warranty and not the free maintenance plan? I'm pretty sure extending the maintenance plan costs between $1200 and $1400. Extended warranties are closer to $3000-4000 and that's even through reputable third party companies, not directly through BMW.

Sorry, I meant to ask why you won't keep it out of warranty? Cost concerns?
