Wait, what? 70hp bump from stock? It's a boost controller? I don't have a 335i so I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking at. Plus so many people have dumped their 335s for M3s I can't keep track anymore

Yes it can up your boost, fuel curve according to new boost lvls, and it gets rid of the gov. +

Wow man, that's quite a pick up. Is it something that you can adjust on the fly? Is running the kind of boost that bumps the HP up that much safe? I guess it would be or you wouldn't do it but 70hp isn't insignificant.

No unfortunately you can't adjust on the fly. You have to take the JB off, unscrew the housing and adjust the dial. Then repeat the process in reverse in order to reinstall it. But having an aftermarket charge pipe makes a world of difference installing it. Because you have a lot more room to work ( albeit not much, but definitely more than you would with the stocker charge pipe) All I had to do was take off the top of my airbox, undo a few hoses and I could just get my hands in enough to unhook the TMAP sensor that the JB+ plugs into. lol I think on the JB3 you might be able to adjust on the fly, but im not quite sure. I know it will give you a little more HP, but I didn't think the extra $300-400 for the JB3 vs 275 for the JB+ was worth it.

Plus it's a no lose, because they will give you a 100% credit towards JB3 if you decide toy upgrade from JB+.

Also, I could be wrong about this, but i don't think you need to take off the unit to adjust the dial, unless reach is a concern.

Yea, these tunes are very highyl regarded in the 335 community. They are cheap, reliable and extremely effective. Apparently, they are very undetectable by dealers as well. Just spend 10 minutes taking it off before a service appointment and you're good, no tuner codes are thrown.

It's definitely different then what is usually put on the M3 but while I like them, I think I prefer the OEM19s more. Post more pics!

My thoughts exactly.

Although I am pretty happy that they are 20s and weigh the same as the OEM 19s do.

I need to take more pictures still. This was just real quick.
One more though.

Yah you do need to take off the JB to adjust it because the house is held together with 2 tiny phillips head screws. Then you need another tiny flat head to turn the dial.It is TINY. (the dial). Where the TMAP sensor plugs in at, there is little to no room, plus you wouldn't be able to see the dial. Like I said its not really that hard to install. It took me 10 min max to put mine in. Last night I was coming home from my pool league and a hooked up subie heard my BOV and tried to fuck with me. I dropped to 3rd when he was right beside me and just walked away from him. I didn't go above 75 then slowed down. I only really did it to see how well it would fair with the JB.. I was VERY IMPRESSED! best mod I have EVER done by far!

They are definitely different, that's a good thing. I am not crazy about them, maybe just because they make the brakes look so small and are so open faced? I do like the beefiness though.

Hey jasel How bad are the potholes out in CHi-town? I can imagine they get shitty in the winter/ early spring.. You are a brave soul rocking a 25 sidewall!

Falken 452s, needed something with a rounded sidewall so the 305s would clear the fenders. Wanted Toyos but werent in stock.

Thanks man. This is something that is totally not my style though. BUT its the reason i went with them. Its something I never did before and they are growing on me. My buddies who seen these wheels in person say the pictures dont do them justice. Most didnt like them when i had shown them the pictures.

I actually shared these pics on AZ way before the M3 forum.

Potholes are bad in the city but in the burbs they not that bad. I have gotten use to driving with caution with big wheels. Granted I never had a 25 series tire before. Lets hope the Volks are high quality enough to sustain some abuse in case.

Will take better pictures over the weekend.

Alright I like them a little more now. Side profile looks better than I thought. They still make those brakes look small though!
