It does, thanks! I was looking at the wheel/tire packages from Tirerack, those Blizzaks and the Perelli Sotozeros were at the top of my list, if I downsize to 17.

Question for people with e9x 3-series...how often do you find yourself replacing the rear brake pads? My light came on the other day saying mine were low, which I couldn't believe because the dealer replaced both front/rear pads at the same time. iDrive says the fronts are still healthy. So I started doing some research on the forum saying that they wear more than the fronts because of the traction control system and some are saying they had to replace after 10-15k miles. Crazy!

I returned my '07 335i after a 3 year lease with about 55k miles on it, never once needed to replace any of the pads front or back.

How much is it to get done?

I assume pads are not included in the "maintenance-included" service thing...

Good to know... I have 21K on my 3 series. I am beginning to wonder if I'll get any benefit from the maintenance program other than oil changes. And I think I've only had one of those.

hell yeah Scrib. Start telling them you want the pads checked and new wiper blades every time you take it in. I made sure I had the pads changed before I hit the limit on my CPO warranty.

Just ordered a Space Grey 335xi, Premium, Cold, 6 spd., usb/iPod, htd steering wheel, Sat. radio, Premium Sound. Should be here soon.

I got a couple oil changes, one set of wipers, and a few free car washes out of it. Maintenance-wise, the car held up really well. I did have to add a quart of oil every once in a while, but I wasn't about to take it to the dealership for that.

I have a little over 15k miles on my E92 now. I was just checking on the pads this past weekend at the autox while I was filling air to the tires. The pads look like there are plenty of material left.

I was getting false brake pad warnings often when I first got my 335. Software update fixed the problem.

At least it wasn't brand new. I've heard people buying a brand new 335i and getting limp mode on the way home. Also there are people who brought their 335i in for HPFP and their loaner 335i got limp mode.

one of the most annoying things when it comes to cars is when your daily driver breaks down on you. An older project car, fine.... but a brand new $40k car?

screw that.
