I saw a 1978 633 CSi with 57k original miles for sale around me for $3500 or something like that.

Man, I was so tempted to go look at that car. The pictures make the interior look like it's in fantastic condition.

So does anybody knows if its possible to change battery in E46 series key fob/remote. In the manual it says it recharges when plugged into the ignition but doesn't say anything about replacement battery.

If I have to get a new key, can someone help me with the link? I am new at this...lol

What do you guys think? It's for a friend. For under $3,500?

He really likes this one.

but this one seems more practical.

Lol, yeah. I told him to get rid of the stupid M3 badges. Not that they're stupid, just on that car.

The other one was sold so I found this one. Anything I should know on these E36s when we go take a look at them?

Any usual rust spots? Things like that.

Im not an expert at the E36 but i know at some point the whole cooling system needs to be replaced. Also the 95 models were OB1 and had no traction control.

So I get to drive this for the next couple of days. Got it with less than 100 miles.

Convertible top is pretty cool. If only it wasn't 100 degrees outside.

Yes, loaner. It's uber slow compared to my 335i sedan. The extra weight for the convertible top doesn't help.

BTW, when I was getting the loaner, there was a guy in front of me that complained about getting a stick shift. I was gonna volunteer for it if it was something like a 135i, but I didn't want to take a chance and get something really boring.

I <3 convertible BMW. :ghey:

I went to local BMW dealership to make an appointment for rear subframe inspection for cracks.(they have their recall sorta thing, deadline Sept 9). All I can say is I am impressed. As I pulled up to the service department front door I was nicely greeted by this young girl and she opened my front door for me. Never felt so special before.

Just got my car back from the dealer and they didn't fix anything I asked for. All 4 things they said "normal, could not duplicate, no action taken." WTF! Next time I need to take a test drive with the shop foreman.

Yeah once you are addicted, 1300$ (installed) is cheap money for BMW Performance Exhaust. I love mine. We don't hear it so much from the inside; but outside this can be embarrassing in town (it gets real loud above 4000rpm).

1. Intermittent long cranks...probably high pressure fuel pump.
2. Rattle in the rear of the car.
3. Soft and grabby brake pedal. They measured my brake pads and said it's within spec.
4. Lag in throttle response when starting from a stop. I didn't think they could do anything with this.

Why the hell this thing didn't show up a week earlier, I would have gladly paid the asking price if it passed inspection. /

Here's the replacement for my 07 335i sedan: 2011 335i coupe w/ M sport. I've had it for about a month now, and am absolutely loving it. I didn't think they could, but somehow they managed to improve on what was already an amazing vehicle.

The day I picked it up from the dealership:

Thats how YOU like it, not me. Thats why all these companies give you so many options so that you can get what YOU like and I can have what I want.

Changed a few mods. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=427649

Eibach Springs (had H&R)
Fabspeed Xpipe with stock cats (had HFC)
Eisenmann Sport exhaust (will never depart from this)
MS spacers 18/15mm (happy with these but prefer my old 15/12mm setup)
OEM 19s (Had 20" Volk G2)
Challenge rear diffuser (drool worthy)
Vorsteiner front lip (needs a repaint badly)

I don't like M3s but your M3 is pretty clean
I love that blue color.
