I think Jay's only flaw on his YouTube show is that he'll interject with his own thought while or just before his guest speaks. Doesn't seem to do that on the main show, but other than that, super cool dude. I like that his production team is the same for both shows.

I kind of agree with a commenter who said mid-90s but I'm partial to 2001 because of the last GS-R and Type R Tegs, Type S CL/TL, and even the MDX looked good. Though 1995 is still fucking great since the Integra already had its final form and the Legend > Type S.

You guys obviously have never sat in a 2006 Audi A3. That had luxury written all over it.

Plus with the caca brown interior that they come in, you won't have to worry about skid mark stains!

Kudos for the Camaro turbo V6 1LE for doing what it did, but why would they not pace the ZL1 1LE

Accord 2.0T with all-seasons and an open diff turned in a 1.3s faster laptime than the 2017 BRZ with Performance Package

Yeah reading some of their behind the scene stuff, looks like C/D uses their own in-house "drivers" which I think are just rando journalists. In one pic they had Jim Mero trying to teach some tips to them on the ZR1. I bet if Mero was behind the wheel he could've got an even better time...same thing if Lars Kern was behind the GT2 RS.

BUt yeah the fact that they got such a diff time in the Ford GT...is a pretty big red flag. Really puts all these times in jeopardy.

You guys aren't giving the journalists enough credit. ~5 secs off from a pro race driver over a 4-mile course is pretty damn good if you ask me. They've been doing it a while, and it must have been tiring testing 21 cars over 3 days, so they had what looks like 5 different drivers doing it. They aren't novices, anyway. The videos look good considering. Pobst does lap time comparisons for one of the big magazine companies, but doubt they could or maybe even want to bring on a few race car drivers for a 3-day test. You also can't rely on factory test drivers to produce unbiased and comparatively fair results.

The Hellcat looks like a bitch and a half to control. Really am curious to see how the Macan Turbo would do now.

Crazy that the Huracan missed the barricade by about a foot when it went off.

The Ford GT time is probably a lot faster, but that track configuration may also be why.

Evo just did a 4-way battle of the GT2 RS, Merc. GTR, Ford GT, & Lotus Exige Cup.

Start around 10:25 for the Ford's review/lap. He explains the GT's issue after the hot lap.

If my quick Google research is right, the Fords are the most expensive? I read they're going for $400k?

That was around MSRP. "Black Market", they're valuing at $1,000,000+ b/c of Ford.

and then you’re left with a $1,000,000 paperweight, cuz people like us mere mortals would never drive a car that expensive.

I’d rather ditch that and buy 4 to 6 much cheaper, but still badass cars for that price.

Guys, I don't think the Ford GT is a car targeted towards us mere mortals.

The car I want and would drive the most out of that list is probably the GT3. That Miami blue tho. 9k redline, more than enough power, and not bad as a DD.

Cayman GTS is a close second, seems like such a sweet and willing dance partner.

If pressed I would probably pick the M5. Although, I value a certain level of discretion.

Yeah but that's the thing. Most probably don't even get driven. Or see 100 miles per year. Its just a damn waste of a car.

A 200k Porsche still sees plenty of miles.

That's a very cool car list. I would not mind having a garage of that dirty dozen and die happy.

Yup. dude's bad ass.

Wish C/D did same thing...hire a single pro driver to test all their cars over several days

I hate you @Majofo , been looking into Camaros a bunch. No, not just performance stuff and testing but forum posts for long term ownership, comfort on long drives, reliability, prices for used ones...

The drawbacks on the Camaro are nothing new for me. I've had an F-Body, and my BRZ is lacking storage space, etc too.

Hopefully in a year or two I can pick up a used 2SS 1LE. I'm abstaining from test drives cause I might do something stupid or lose sleep if I go home without taking one back with me.

The 1LE did the lightning lap in 2:54.8 though, damn impressive.

Get whichever has the blind spot warning (2SS definitely has it). The visibility out the back corners are as advertised (terrible)

It definitely takes some adjustment in getting used to the reduced visibility in this generation of Camaros.

I'm impressed by Ford's direction with the Mustang too.. they're really trying to stay instep with their rival (for the most part )
