General Car Talk Discussion Thread
Caught the new Camaro at COTA, & pretty much agree it feels like a step back. Doesn't have any of the little presence the car had during its rebirth. Not all that anxious to see how the ZL1 or Z/28 turn out.
The comments about the Camaro are surprising. The car is smaller and much lighter than the outgoing version and by all accounts far, far superior in every way to the "base" 2SS from a year ago. I have a feeling the 1LE will be the best car under $50K in the world and could very well challenge cars 2-3 times as much.
It's not my cup of tea but I'm surprised you guys didn't like it that much.

BMW stayed away from the whole bumper-molded exhaust cut-out fad for a good while, it bugs me that they succumbed to it - I think this looks like ass. I even didn't mind back in the day when they kept the exhausts out of sight (under carriage) while most other companies were doing it loud. Anyways whatever. /rant
The S class is my dream daily. It would also make for a perfect road trip car.
I really hope the new ones end up being at least somewhat reliable so I can snag one for cheap in a few years.

as far as reliability, i am not so sure. It has too much tech stuff in there.

Fantastic. Love how they drive. Haven't been a passenger in my grandmother's yet.
