I love Land Cruisers. If I weren't a poor, I'd drive one. That new one looks nice, like the proper cousin to the yokel "snagged my lip on the barbwire fence" LX.

lol.

I wouldn't worry about it. The Land Cruiser is one of the most capable go anywhere trucks on the planet. I'm sure a combination of common sense and proper off road gear will keep it shiny side up no problem.

+1 They are so fvcking expensive even used. I tried to get one before I bought the Denali and couldn't find one within my budget for year and miles. Didn't want a 1992 with 200k miles on it for $8k. No thanks.

I realize now the LX is a Sequoia and not a Land Cruiser. The Land Cruiser is a good SUV. Though, $84K for a Land Cruiser is fucking ridiculous.

LX is based on the cruiser. Sequioa is bigger still but is more of a mall crawler than anything else. I don't think there is a Lexus version of it yet.

The GX is based on the LC Prado which (stupidly) isn't sold in the US.

The LX is based on the Land Cruiser? They did a good job of hiding it and making it look much less practical.

I can't find the m4 thread. so here it is:

BMW M4 GTS U.S. pricing starts at $134,200
This special edition is limited to around 700 units worldwide, with around 300 units available for the first time in the US market
BMW is smoking some good shit. but they will be sold out in 5 secs.

Alright Kam! You won't be disappointed. I'm still having a lot of fun in the V. It should hold it's value pretty well too considering last of it's class, general bulletproof powertrain, relatively inexpensive to work on, gobs of power on the table, easy cruiser, and big premium on V3 gen (which is probably trying to work out problems from Z06).

I've seen a couple Vagons in the high 30's with modest miles.

How is it Lexus still only lets you build cars that are already in your area? I can't believe their "build your own car" tool still does this. If I can get an IS 350 F Sport with premium why can't I build it that way? They should rename it from "build your own car" to "find a car in your zip code."

VW did that and everybody hated it and they finally added a true build a car feature after all of the complaints.

Yeah.. around 50k miles. That Vagon sold after the last price drop, we posted it a couple of times in the V threads. I'll keep an eye out for decent deals.

Absolutely, it forces you to go to the dealer to get more information.

I thought VW got rid of it all together for awhile?

Kam.. this looks like a great deal. They don't have pics up, but I found pics from a previous auction. They started it out north of 50k.. it's 40k now.

I thought Audi is the worst..... step one: choose premium + or Prestige and you have no way of knowing WTF is premium+ and WTF are included in the prestige. So how do i choose?

Yeah, I agree. I don't like that either. BMW has a great one, and the Acura one is decent as well.

I just feel like the Lexus one is misleading. If you don't know it only builds cars in your area you'd think that was the only way to option the cars.

No, I am talking about how they won't let you build a car with those options if there isn't one in your area. If there isn't an IS 350 with premium package in my area I can't build one on the Lexus website. I hate that.

Basically you're building a car that already exist. Lexus is just telling you where it is

If it's like Toyota's site, they limit it because of regional availability of vehicle packages. I.e. some packages just are not offered in some regions.

Try changing your zipcode to a different distributor region and see what it gets you.

I didn't know Toyota didn't offer some packages in some regions. I could see why they wouldn't stock some packages in some regions (i.e. heated seats in Florida), but I didn't know some where flat out unavailable. Interesting.

It forces me to go to other manufacturers.

VW did and customers revolted. So they changed back to the old and better build a car process.

What if we don't want that? Lexus is basically driving people away from their site to do research and see what a particular model looks like while shopping.

I realize it drives sales of existing vehicles but if they don't have what I want and I can't see what I do, I'm likely to just go test drive something else.

You're the exception.

90%+ of Joe Consumer doesn't care. They just go to the dealer and ask the salesmonkey what car they should buy and then drive home to show the Joneses next door.

what's odd to me is that the last owner had the car 3 months/3k miles and got rid of it... wtf... the mileage is slightly higher then average, but seeing as how it was a california/nevada car for the beginning of its life, its all long stretches of highway i'm sure...

keep them coming
