But is it faster than an RLX...?

(without upgraded tyres, because that'd be overkill)...

Knowing BMW a start price means no a/c, roll up windows, cardboard seats, AM/FM only, and halogen headlights

You're sh1tting me right? That's insanely cheap for a M car.

Just wait for the options list though...

FWIW, this car is about the same price...

I like the look of the 2 series.. but in reality, it's a clown car.
I have a coworker who has a 235i.. it's really tiny.

Yup
Same as Porsches, options list is murder

M4 starts at 64k, but unless you order a stripped car, all at my local dealer is 78-90k

BMW M2 priced at £44,070 in UK, limited to 500 units

assuming M2 follows the same standard equipment structure with the M3/M4.

Base MSRP $51000
standard option list:
M Sport or Equivalent
Standard M brake
N55 Tune
Standard Navi
Leather?
M suspension
Standard HK Sound
Not sure about LED (since 340 comes with standard LED now)

Not a better deal if those come standard at 51k considering a M235i is really not any cheaper.

Don't forget that dealers will be asking a crap ton for the M2. So most likely will be trading in the 65K range I imagine

Additionally there are lots of people who are "investors" and saw what the 1M market did and will be hoarding cars

2 Addicts forum has great info if you are looking to order

BMW M2 price (Base MSRP) confirmed - $51,000
There are quite a few dealers here that will sell them at MSRP. Some BMW dealers have the "No Mark up" policy.
So in this case, no discount is actually considered a "good deal"

But yah the M2 will hold its value very well with only 500 produced.

500 produced for UK market

Most people are saying for US/NA market, there will be 30 month of production at about 60+ cars a month

Oh well Let's hope M2 is not a one time deal like the 1M.

For those who have not driven the M235i... it is really that good. Better than any 3/4 series in terms of driving.

I can't imagine how good it will be with more power, M tuned and lighter. But i still think it is not a good looking car. Not ugly but not good looking either, especially the rear.

Agree with you. Front looks great. Side is ok. Rear something about the tails that seem off.

I am so tempted to go and get a Sport in White Orchard Pearl...

Wait didn't you just get rid of your 2013 in the same color?

Yes, 2016 looks good....

The M2 version looks better from the rear (with that more aggressive rear fascia) than the 228i and the M235i. But, it's certainly not the best of the models.

My 2013 that I got rid of was Starfire White Pearl

If I got a 2016 Sport, it would be Milano Red. Too bad Sport manual now offers more than 2 colors, but EX manual doesn't.

Yup Milano red is new for the 2016. Which I think it awesome, but I still wouldn't buy red.

Yeah...they are the wrong shape and a little too small. On the 228i and M235i the rear bumper and decklid are so very bland, which doesn't help.

Why did the 3 switch the 340 but the 4 hasn't switched yet? Are they are on different release cycles?

Yah 4 series is too "new" for LCI. But 2016 435i will still receive a lot of the LCI updates (Standard HK Audio, interior updates, comfort access standard, Sport trim standard and more) from the 340 except the LED tails and the new engine.

328/428 did not get the new engine either.

Next year it will be 330/430 with the new 4 cylinders. , 340/440 LCI with the new 6 cylinders. (340 is getting it now)

I think 2 and 5 series will get in there somewhere in between. 230, M240, 530, 540.
