So, right there, that barrier of negative perception with the Asian demographics is already very high for Chrysler, GM and Ford. It'll be interesting because I think Chrysler, Ford and GM have put out some quality cars of late.
The only exception is Cadillac, especially Escalate. but when they see the price, they will go get a X5 or Land Rover.

If I can get my Mom to even test drive an Escalade, I'm filming her trying to get in and out of that thing plus her driving it and posting it on here.

Of course, the mere mention of the Escalade to her will elicit a "What an Escarade?" question from her and followed by my response and showing her, a slap on the back of my head.

I'm also going to tell my Father in-law that the Mustang really looks identical to the Accord. See if I can strengthen our son-in-law-father-in-law bond.

Alright. Good insights as always. Thanks guys. Will ask more questions later.

And yes, I won't buy a car unless it is raised from the factory.

I emailed a dealer to see if a EB Mustang was still there and I didn't get through the first email response before I wished I didn't have to work with a salesperson.

Still haven't driven one. Waiting to make sure this dealer will honor X-Plan. The dealer I bought the Focus ST from are weasels.

Don't they all have to honor it on every car if they honor the plan? I'd wait to play that card until they give you their best offer. It is sometimes better than the X Plan price. Just email and tell them you want their best offer or else you're going elsewhere. Send the same message to a bunch of dealers in your area.

Ford employer discount. It's a great way to get a desireable car at a non-marked up price.

It's Invoice minus (0.4% of Invoice) + $275 Dealer Fee

X-Plan is partner pricing. I work for Microsoft.

That dealer is out. They've already started in on the scumbag "someone's working a deal on this car you better come now" bullshit.

I'm sure there's a Ford dealer in this area that doesn't employ scumbags.

From my personal Ford dealership experience, I can tell you that it won't go well for you. I swear pretty much every Ford dealer was being super D for no particular reason.

Since a lot of the Ford cars are going thousands below invoice price then isn't 0.4% below invoice actually more than what the cars are actually going for now?

That doesn't exclude rebates. The Mustang comes with a $500 rebate. But I don't think dealers are selling Mustangs below invoice right now.

Yes, which is why I said to keep the X Plan card as your final play. You can usually, depending on car, get it for less than X Plan after everything is said and done but if not, you can still use that card to get the best price. X Plan isn't the price after all rebates though, it's before. So if the dealer's selling price before rebates is higher than the X Plan price then you still save.

For a car like the Mustang, which is likely selling right around MSRP, X plan is great to have.

For a good example on how good the pricing can be for a car like the Mustang (which apparently has a high profit margin...), the MSRP of the GT I was looking at is $41k and change. With the X Plan discount (before rebates), the price was $37k and change. That's a good discount to have if the dealer isn't going to budge from MSRP. And then you get the rebates on top of all that.

Most of the high performance cars have a huge profit margin and that's where X Plan can be handy. If you're going in looking for a F-150 XLT, you likely won't get a good deal using X Plan.

There are cars that are ineligible for X Plan. Raptor, GT500 (last year), and a few other models are ineligible so I expect the GT350 to also be ineligible. As of right now Focus ST and all Mustang models are on the good to go list though.

Ford may not offer X-Plan on the GT350 when it's first released but yeah, I guess they could if the demand was high enough.

Do you think most Z06 owners will track their car? If so, why not go aftermarket anyway.
It's more emphasis on it being cold out & wondering how the car will react next summer.

^ Those are the 20's. I wouldn't get them simply because of how expensive the tires would be to replace. 18's or 19's are plenty.

I drove it. What a nice car. The engine is not what I thought it would be. It's almost lopey when you give it gas. It is definitely not just a bigger Focus ST engine. The interior is nicer than my Focus ST and the seats, while not Recaros felt good compared to the Recaro in my Focus.

This is my weekend car so I'm getting the one with the 20s.

Is it Friday?

I had to look up lopey. That means slow?

You're getting it??? EB Premium? 201A Package? No Performance Package? Nav?

Tell us more!

EDIT: Found it! Looks nice. 265 tires. http://www.koonsbaltimoreford.com/ex...8b1558304e.htm

Looks like it was built on the 30th of October. Says special order, too.

When it comes to Mustangs: I'd get a base model GT > optioned EB, especially if it is a weekend car.

Other than the 2 6.2L engines, the list looks pretty sad.

The 2015 Ward's 10 Best Engines are:

127-kW Electric Motor (BMW i3 electric vehicle)
6.2L OHV V-8 (Chevrolet Corvette Stingray)
6.2L Supercharged OHV V-8 (Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat)
1.0L Turbocharged DOHC 3-cyl. (Ford Fiesta)
100-kW Fuel Cell (Hyundai Tucson FCV)
1.5L Turbocharged DOHC 3-cyl. (Mini Cooper)
3.0L Turbodiesel DOHC V-6 (Ram 1500 EcoDiesel)
2.0L Turbocharged DOHC H-4 (Subaru WRX)
1.8L Turbocharged DOHC 4-cyl. (Volkswagen Jetta)
2.0L Turbocharged DOHC 4-cyl. (Volvo S60)

Interesting seeing the range of motors. And kinda wish they put the twin-charged Volvo 4-cylinder on there. 302 hp and 35 highway mpg. Pretty Solid

Hey sorry. 201A, Nav, Adaptive Cruise, and 20s. I didn't want the PP. This car will never, ever see a track and it would be cheaper for me to replace the shocks if I wanted.

The car is not slow. It's slower than our FSWerks STs though. By lopey, I mean what I imagine the V8 feels like. It's warbley, it's not a 2.0T. I don't know how else to describe it.

I couldn't go backwards from the tech in the ST and like I mentioned, I don't feel the V8 is worth $7,000 to me. I don't drive my car more than 6/10s so I don't feel like I'm missing anything. I like comfort and technology and the Mustang has that. Plus the settings changes for steering, etc can turn it from a soft GT into something much more raw.

Damn all forced induction or electric except for the Vette. And the only Japanese make is Subaru. How times have changed.

After ordering and then waiting for three months, my car finally made it to the dealer today. I hope to get a chance to take it for a quick spin after work and then "officially" purchase it tomorrow.
I'll definitely start a thread after I pick it up
