Talk about making a decision a tough one ... R&T just released their Performance Car of the Year award. The Mustang finished second, just ahead of a Ferrari 458 Speciale. I won't spoil the winner though.

In the field were just about every 2015 performance car you could think of ... In some cases they took the higher model over a newer lesser one like the Z/28 over the new 1LE.

That said, they loved the Mustang. Which is great for Ford and very conflicting for me because I'm still not sure I want to buy another Ford.

Great!

I hope BMW loses every of their award in 2015! So they can stop making soft cars.

Read the thread for the car. Mostly speculation right now with the latest word that it'll be the new "SC". But, nothing confirmed.

Wait until they put the 3-cylinder in the 318i here in the US. Then they'll offer it on the 320i

Lexus LF-LC approved for production - Autoblog
By Jonathon Ramsey

Posted Mar 28th 2013 2:01PM

On the sidelines of a press drive for the 2014 Lexus IS, the company's vice president of marketing in the US told Ward's Auto that the honchos in Japan have approved the Lexus LF-LC concept for production. He wouldn't offer any other details on how the luxury coupe might be transformed into a vehicle for the buying masses, and that has led to a bag full of speculation.

The show car was hybrid-powered and rear-wheel drive, a beautifully executed stab by Toyota designers in Newport Beach at redefining Lexus, but even with the concept, the point was to keep it "within reach for premium buyers." The report says the odds are on limited production and higher pricing than Lexus' "mainstream products," and other sites have speculated on what kind of powertrain it might end up in showrooms with.

GT Channel posits that the LF-LC will be the inspiration for a coupe in the Lexus LS price bracket with a choice of either the 4.2-liter V8 or the hybrid powertrain from the LS 600h, further speculating it will be called LC 550 and cost more than $100,000. It then says that there would be another coupe created beneath that one to replace the SC 430. Lexus Enthusiast, however, calls those "warmed-over rumors" and says that the marque probably won't deviate from its engine-capacity-naming scheme – labeling a car with a 4.2-liter V8 an LC 550. Nor does it think Lexus will use the letters LC after the company has trademarked "RC" in the US and Australia.

Here's some more feedback on the Mustang from R&T's PCOTY competition. They loved it. What I really want to hear though, is how many of them would buy the car and own it for four or five years to pay it off? How many of them, after a LOT of butt time in the Mustang, would feel like it was money as well spent in year five as year one?

Because that's what new Mustang customers, who might be looking at other sports cars, want to know. Yeah, it's great now but is it going to still be good when the warranty runs out?

nah.. we all know what the hellcat is.. drive your family around leisurely until some hipster dipshit cuts you off.. then you press the batshit crazy pedal, subsequently plowing every dipster off the road at triple digit speed in less than the time it takes you to realize your kids are in the back. Performance isn't the keyword.. batshit crazy is.

I see the quote, I don't know what is the issue though. I do know the RC is one model and the "LF-LC" or whatever it's going to be called is a different one.

Your link above is the same posting date as many other places on March 28, 2013...Case in point, AZUser in Post #71 in the LF-LC thread had a similar article except from Wards. Fast forward to the most recent news posts of this concept (page 3 of the thread), everything is just speculation and from "inside" sources but nothing official from Toyota. You had written that it would be an LFA replacement and days later, a news post about how it may be the future SC. Nothing official.

You've challenged this sorta news before saying unless it is from the manufacturer, it's just rumors (I believe it's the Supra thread)...So, what makes this any different with the LF-LC?

They didn't use all-season tires. Plus they said they felt the RLX's mirrors were too aerodynamic.
