I'm not a build whore.. start car thread.. no updates.. just random sloring.
I'll end up with an intake, upper pulley and muffler delete probably. A lot of guys dip the grill. I like it, but not 100% on it.
If I do, I'll dip only the grill. Many are dipping the wreath, but I like the full emblem. Or replace the emblem with a 50's logo. A couple of guys have gone with the new emblem, but I'd rather recognize the history.

I took Moneyman for a ride in it.. he can vouch for me.
Looks good Maj! Kind of regret at times not buying one a while back.

Love the V! Is it lowered or stock height?

Not too late.. plus if you ever wanted more out of it (like anyone does around here ), tons of aftermarket support and shops that specialize in making it go. You know this already..
I really needed backseat space. I was really considering the ISF and C63 as well. ISF was tight, C63 was okay, but the V won out. I'm loving it. It's super civil. I've gotten it sideways a couple of times but it's stayed pretty compliant even in those times. I'm definitely not worried about throwing the keys to the wife.. just tell her to never take TC off or go sliding around in the rain.
Talking about C63's.. I almost bought one before finding the V. Luckily I got paranoid about the head bolts snapping and costing me a 45k engine. ARP makes head bolts for it, but it's still a big task replacing them. Otherwise a solid ride.. too solid maybe, the damn seat bolsters would probably require me to get lumbar traction every week.
Anyways.. a sweet C63 parked next me at a ghetto mart today. It was like a double rainbow.
stock height.. It's got a nice stance already and the 19" wheels make it easy business over dips and bumps (that front lip.. ugh). Plus it has MR suspension, which kills any thought of going aftermarket.. it's on freaking rails.

This ladies and gentlemen.. is why you leave TC on, especially if you're a fucking noob driving something with way more hp than you should be behind the wheel of..

1933 is too similar to Chrysler. Go 1957

I like them all, but I love the 57 logo.
The tires might have been cold, but he should have known that 1-2 and 2-3 upshifts are highly likely to break the tires loose. Instead of correcting and letting off, he mashed the brake. He killed any chance of recovery at that point.

Beyond oil, tires, & gas, my only real concern was the service intervals on them. I know it's stupid reliable, but it's still a performance car, so I wanted to be aware of if it had 30K/50K/60K/etc. intervals & what they generally included (in plain terms, anything like the BMW M3's Inspection I & II).

If another one happens to come through the dealership in manual & with low miles, I probably will end up with it. 500Hp will be more than enough for me for a while.

Obviously skip the tire rotation on the V.

So i finally did the maintenance items on my Accord last weekend. ($600 total by an ex-Acura tech)
Did the followings:
Water pump
Spark plugs
Engine oil
Trans oil
Brake flush
Power Steering fluid
Coolant
Air filter
Cabin Filter
Thermostat
Valve Adjustment.
There was an 1" dead spot with the brake pedal. The first 1" of braking does absolutely nothing at all. It actually feels like the car was accelerating when i first brake
I thought it was because there might be air in there. The guy told me the Master brake Cylinder is going out...
Shit, more $$

^ Imagine how much all of those things would be on that BMW of yours.

I was told the 06 accord did not have a timing belt and the timing chain requires no maintenance. ??

MC should be pretty inexpensive. Drain it all out, replace, bleed lines, done. Only thing is that I'd recommend taking it to a dealer or something equivalent for the bleed so they can actuate the ABS to bleed those lines out as well.

If you have a 4cyl, this is true. If you have the V6, find a new mechanic.

What's the price difference between that and OEM? When it comes to something like the brake MC, go OEM.

I wouldn't fvck with it though, just pony up for the OE when it comes to this sort of thing. Buy the knock off for less important parts.
Yep, they look like some asshat bought the LX and put the V6 rims on it...until you realize they are 60+ years old and bought the car that way.

I never knew the LX came in V6. I learned something on Acurazine for once..
