I've seen 2 RDXs/3 ILXs/1 TLX total so far for the past 3 years. I'm in LA.

I spotted something really out of the ordinary today - a 6th gen Accord Wagon SiR.
Shit pic, but they look like this:
The dude was moving at a really good clip, and I was having difficulty getting alongside to take a better pic before he got off the highway.

nice Alliance, remember those things! they were everywhere
and, I didn't even know that Accord wagon existed. I see dual exhaust? I'd guess one is fake.

The 6G does exist....only in Japan. They came in either FWD or AWD models, with the H22 or H23, much like the Prelude. Pretty cool cars. The automatic cars got the tiptronic like the 5G Preludes as well.
When I saw him in my rearview, it looked like a Integra with a JDM Type R clip on it. Then he passed, and wagon'd me. I was confused and excited.

no I don't.
I just felt like mentioning it because it seems like Acura gets such a bad rap regarding product lines, and sales, and things like that. And seeing them frequently in real life, I wonder what the real story is.

Don't care...
Actually, it seems there are a lot in Austin as well. But I haven't discerned whether that is really true or just due to a heightened awareness as a result of ownership. I have a feeling if I drove a WRX in Austin, it would seem like every other car was one (and that actually might be true ).

The venom and spew you are talking about is Acura's departure from trying to lead and be an industry benchmark. The lack of any high-performance vehicles in their line-up is very disappointing for many in here who were huge Honda/Acura fans.
You've been on this site for many years, this isn't new to you, is it...?

Soo..... Didn't go to F1 USGP this year. Glad I didn't. Some people blabbed that the exhaust note wasn't as muted as comparison videos make it out to be. My brosef went and he said it fucking sucked and if anything the comparison videos make it sound better. I watched on TV and it was the first time I noticed race commentary near the track. My brosef said the GT3's were louder. Apparently the troll has promised to fix it next season, doubtful.

The 3 models you saw lots of are Acura's bread and butter right now. And frankly, given what you get and the pricepoint, those are good cars.

and you mean how they don't have the flagship like NSX anymore - yeah, old news - but still I feel there is a negative overall sentiment about the company, especially here - and so it's nice to see a lot of them out on the roads.

At the start of the season, I actually liked the sound of the cars. But after watching YouTube videos of them, I've changed my mind. Indycar uses turbo V6s as well, and their engines sound way better than F1. The lower rev limiter doesn't help. The quick and easy fix is ditching the fuel usage regulations and let the manufacturers rev the piss out of them. Or better yet, let the manufacturers power the cars with whatever type of engine they want, but cap power at 850hp.
It plays a huge role. It's like driving a 458 that sounds like an Accord. It just doesn't feel right and kills any and all aural excitement that came along with it.

Just hearing the upshifts of the V8 scream as you're walking to the track, you suddenly find yourself leisurely walking to frantically running toward the gate like a braindead zombie..
Before you know it, you're not even running anymore.. you have the hugest boner poking out of your cargo shorts that's literally propelling you the edge of the track.. If you can't understand that, you might as well take a shotgun to the dick.

Even the late 80's turbo V6 sounded better.. and I believe the revs were lower.

I guess what I mean is sound volume isn't my criteria for gauging my enjoyment. I watch Formula 500 cars race with snowmobile engines and Formula Vee and like it a lot. But I respect you yokels want everything to be unrestricted weedwhackers

Not talking about volume at all. It's the quality and characteristics of the notes - the frequencies, pitch, etc

Hmmm...I'm thinking ewwwww...this is the Lexus RC at SEMA.
I don't follow F1 but I did watch qualifying for kicks.
Wow is Rosberg good. And yes the V6 engines sound very boring. From the limited amount that I've seen and heard... V10, V12, and V8s in that order.

RC is definitely polarizing to begin with. I kinda like it.
I definitely love the stock interior.
