I admit this is me with Cars & Coffee and has been. As much as I would love to see an Aventador Roadster at any opportunity, it ain't worth going to see the same 50 boring ass Camaros/Corvettes/Mustangs/whatthefuckever I'd seen every month.

I'm still anxious to head down to Houston next month.

Nice breakdown of the numbers between the Porsche 918, McLaren P1, and Ferrari Poopdick McFartington:

Engine:

Ferrari LaFerrari: 6.3-litre V12 naturally aspirated
McLaren P1: 3.8-litre bi-turbo V8
Porsche 918 Spyder: 4.6-litre V8 naturally aspirated

Engine power:

Ferrari: 789bhp, 516lb ft
McLaren: 727bhp, 531lb ft
Porsche: 608bhp, 389lb ft

Electric:

Ferrari: 161bhp, 199lb ft, 330g/km CO2
McLaren: 176bhp, 192lb ft, 194g/km CO2
Porsche: 282bhp, 545lb ft, 70g/km CO2

Combined power:

Ferrari: 950bhp and over 663lb ft
McLaren: 903bhp and 664lb ft
Porsche: 875bhp and 943lb ft

Gearbox:

Ferrari: seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, rear-wheel-drive, third-gen E-Diff, EF1-Trac F1 TC
McLaren: seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, rear-wheel-drive, IPAS and DRS
Porsche: seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic, all-wheel-drive, Hybrid, Sport and Race modes, plus Hot Lap setting

Tyres:

Ferrari: 265/30 R19 (front) 345/30 R20 (rear)
McLaren: 265/35 R20 (front) 325/30 R21 (rear)
Porsche: 265/35 R20 (front) 325/30 R21 (rear)

Weight:

Ferrari: 1345kg est
McLaren: 1395kg
Porsche: 1634kg

0-62mph:

Ferrari: 2.9s
McLaren: 2.8s
Porsche: 2.5s

0-124mph:

Ferrari: 6.9s
McLaren: 6.8s
Porsche: 7.2s

0-186mph:

Ferrari: 15s
McLaren: 16.5s
Porsche: 19.9s

Top speed:

Ferrari: 218mph+
McLaren: 217mph
Porsche: 214mph

Splitting hairs between these three mega-cars...but, it would appear the Porsche is the fastest off of a stop but the Poopdick just goes beast-mode the higher the speeds.

The electric power and torque for the 918 is amazing. But it looks like it pays for it a bit in weight.

Hmm, still think I'd take the P1.

Dat V12, though.

There is replacement for displacement. The statement is still true regardless how much battery power you put it in there.

If I were ever able to buy one of these cars in real life, it'd be the 918 because it's more "usable". 0-60 in 2.5 seconds would make your eyes roll around to the side of your head. I'd be too worried about losing my license to go over 100 MPH.

I've done 180 mph before, it's not too bad

oh I mean....

just kidding.........

but with these cars, you'd get up there so damn fast, it wouldn't even be anything. if any cop even were to see that, they'd have no idea wtf it was.

LaFerrari FTW!

I dont know how i'd pick out of the three. Talk about the hardest decision of your life.

I feel like if I could afford 1, i could afford all 3 and i'd just buy them all.

Or we set up a sharing system. I buy 918, two others buy the other 2 and every six months we trade!

P1, too ugly

918, too heavy.

I don't know if I'd bring the Pagani into it just because it's more of something Horacio sells as a really fast piece of art, but the Koenigsegg would be interesting considering it's relying on brute power & no hybrid systems.

Looks like the next generation of mainstream safety engineering is here now:

The 2015 Genesis secured the prestigious ranking with the help of a "good" rating in the notorious small-overlap front crash test. Data from dummies showed that there was a low risk of serious injury in the 40-mile-per-hour impact.

That "no overtaking on the right" feature would be nice... if it were implemented on every car.

As is I can see it being a PITA because people don't have poor road etiquette. More people pass on the right for some reason.

That is because lazy Americans think doing 60mph in the fast lane when there are 5 cars behind you is justified.

So before they can implement the no over taking on the right, they need to implement some kind of MOVE TO THE RIGHT, you slow ass.

Laziness has its part for sure, but I think it's mostly just ignorance. They simply don't know the principle of slower traffic keep right. Worse yet, you tell them and they still don't listen...
