Yah those diesels are not cheap. but you can't really find many RWD coupe/sedan in the US. So i guess you are paying for exclusivity.

as fast as N55 is. i find it hard to believe Stock N55 can be faster than ISF.

While i was in service, i talked to the sales guy about the lease price on those M235i because i really like it.

He said right now the program is very bad since the car is new. M235i are going for close to $700 a month with $3000 down on a $47k MSRP one.

even i was after that. i guess there will always be suckas.

If we've got the money and our heart set on a M235i, I don't think buying it now is being a sucker. Life is too short to not do what makes us feel good as long as we're responsible about it.

That doesn't really change what I said. You can have the itch for a new car every 3-5 years but that doesn't mean you see cars the way this forum does.

None the less, I wasn't referring to anyone else but a large chunk of our clientele. They're not car enthusiasts, they're folks who want a luxury car they don't really have to worry about in the long run until it's time to return it and get another. 51% of our clients last month leased.

I fucking hate TFL vids. Why do we need vids and comparos from high altitude? Their vids aren't even entertaining. Fastest to 60 on a winding road.. for fucks sake.

Obviously a turbocharged vehicle is not nearly as disadvantaged as a NA vehicle at altitude. Total fucking waste of time.

So C&D did a write up of vehicles to wait for and the Toyota FT-1 was on the list.. 2018.

It's 3 years out, but what concerned me is it sounds like it's being marketed for a reasonable price point with a refreshed NA I4/V6. It sounds more like a Celica replacement than Supra. Sucks.. definitely not something to wait for.

only 51%? Germans are much much higher.
if you are talking about the large chunk of your clientele, then that big chunk usually have no idea what money factor or residual value is and they most likely don't even know what torque is or where/what the cabin filter is.

the small percentage of "us" on the forum actually care about figuring out the #s and compare what works and what doesn't.

People in car talks get new cars pretty often, that is why we have the "My car needs XXX, so I xxxx" threads.

Cabin filter.. shitt.. I've met a lot of people who couldn't tell you where the hood release is. These are smarties as well. When the E90 335i first came out, an acquaintance (PhD EE) came over to the house behind the wheel of one. I asked her about it, any noticeable turbo lag, etc.. Her response.. "it has turbos??"

Not surprising, but it wasn't a comparison.

Thanks because that is exactly what I just said before you had to "disagree".
They don't see cars the way we do; they're just fancy modes of transportation they have to buy every few years & have the excess money to do so.

Holy hell, some unseen pics of the GT-One "road" car there & it's 2 sister cars.

Chassis LM802, LM907, & LM803 I believe. Wonder where the other 3 are.

That drag race video was about 4 minutes longer than necessary. Don't call it a drag race and then have most of the video show two dip shit people babble.

I don't really buy that, from everything everyone has said about the car, it looks like they want it to be the next Supra.

I hope you're right. A lot of hype, one fucking beastly looking concept, and executives who think the Avalon is an enthusiast's vehicle.

I really like the M235's exhaust note more than the IS-F...

If I were Toyota, I'd use the RC's platform and just make the next Supra a little more crazy. Economies of scale and all that.

Maserati raced by Stirling Moss can be yours...if your name is BoostedJack or Altegris...

Gawddarn is it pretty...

Information from here: http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...sale-in-monaco

What would you do with 4 million-5.5 million euros (around $5.5m-$7.6m)? A fleet of Bugatti Veyrons, perhaps? Build the biggest garage you can and fill it with pretty much every one of your dream cars?
If the 1956 Maserati 450S Prototype by Fantuzzi hits its estimate at an RM Auctions sale in Monaco on May 10, one buyer will have spent that amount on that stunning race car alone. Driven by Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson at the 1956 Mille Miglia, the car was originally built as a six-cylinder with the chassis number 3501. Before the Mille Miglia race in Italy that year, engineers quickly installed the now-incumbent 5,657cc 90-degree V-8 engine, producing an impressive 520 horsepower. Moss crashed the car when its brakes gave out during the race--perching the car precariously against a tree over a ravine.

Since then the car has gained the chassis number 4501, once used on an entirely different Maserati 450S but now verified for this car. Since then the car has been sold on to various owners, even receiving a Corvette V-8 engine during a 1965 restoration. After that the car was sold to a buyer in the U.S, who sold it once again in 1970. That owner actually used the car on the roads of California, but the car returned to Italy in 1981 in the hands of an Italian collector. It received a full, authentic and Maserati-overseen restoration in 1987, resulting in its current status.

It isn't the only striking Italian lot at the upcoming Monaco auction. Alongside it is a 1955 Lancia D50A Formula One recreation, built from original plans for the late Tom Wheatcroft, who owned the historic Donington Park circuit for many years. As a recreation its 800,000-900,000 euro estimate ($1.1m-$1.24m) is lower than the "real thing", but this is as close as recreations get to the cars driven by Fangio and Ascari back in 1955.

Another work of art gracing the block in Monaco is a 1954 Bentley R-Type Continental Fastback Sports Saloon by Franay. The ultra-rare car--just three were made in this design--has an estimate of 725,000-1m euros ($999K-$1.37m). The design is a mixture of British class and Gallic flair, the Bentley uses a 178-horsepower, 4,566cc six-cylinder engine with twin SU carbs. The seller describes it as "the grandest of British tourers", and it's up for auction in Monaco on May 10, a few weeks before the Monaco Grand Prix.

A 2SS Camaro is TrueCar'ing at $34k.

The 2015 Mustang is really depressing the value of the current car. I bet quite a few people are waiting.

As minivans go, this isn't bad. It's a Ford S-Max Vignale concept for Europe. The Vignale trim is above Titanium and entitles owners to a bit more concierge-type services.

If one doesn't care for the new 2015 model, this is the perfect time to pick up a 2014 at such a good price.

Hmm I wonder if I could get a really good deal...

Going to search dealer lots now.
