They are a lot smaller in person than expected.

 

That was the first thing that hit me too!

 

I can't remember how big I expected them to be but I expected the car to be smaller than it was. Granted it was about a year ago the last time I saw one but yeah. Not really sure where I'm going with this...

I would put as many useless items as possible in that briefcase so that I would have infinite excuses to be seen with it.

 

Wow, great spot on the High Sport. Think they built double their original numbers, but still a stupid rare spot.

 

You almost wonder if that briefcase even fits in there.....

 

Didn't they only send three or four stateside?

 

5 of the 10 are in the states. I believe Newport Beach McLaren has delivered 2-3 of them.

 

They've had a white one, and the orange one I saw. I haven't seen anything else on their IG feed.

Oh yeah, after driving an MP4 this weekend (not on track, just to move it around for photos) and seeing it prance around for Saturday and Sunday track days, 9 hours each, my adoration for the car has gone up greatly. I mean, there was a point where, from photos only, I thought the car was "boring". Nothing could be farther from the truth. It is such a focused machine with such a clear purpose. I didn't get to take it on the track this first time, I could have if I wanted to, but after having driven the GTR, R8, and 458 (another wow) - I didn't wanna be greedy. I will drive it at the next event, in May.
