I'm glad you're back Morgan. No one can fill a thread page in one day like you can....all while covering a range of topics from cars to body disposal.

you can always take the J and put it in a nsx. a guy on prime did that recently.

Two guys did it I believe.

Doing a J swap in an NSX was an idea of mine about two years ago. Now though, I see the NSX as more of a collector car, and I'd feel bad for bastardizing one.

Now, if I could find a wrecked one, then I'd be a bit more inclined. There was a '91 on eBay that had a blown motor that I was watching, but the guy is nuts and had his reserve set at $25k. Obviously, it didn't sell.

$25k with a blown motor, thats crazy. i thought about doing a J swap also but i like the sound of the C so much better plus theres better after market support for the motor.

If he had it at ~$12k (I think the highest bid was ~$10k), I'd jump at it.

A J37 NSX would be great. It might be pricey to get intially set up, but repair parts would be so much cheaper.

I was actually thinking about a 3.8-3.9l sleeved block setup for twin turbo.

i dont think it would be that expensive to setup. the guy who just did it is talking about producing a kit for the swap ie mounts etc.

At least from a hardware perspective, it's not difficult to mount the J. It's physically smaller and lighter then the C series. Just make sure you have your axle angles right, and you're good.

The tires were wet and it was almost midnight when I finished washing the car, so I applied it the next morning.

You can see it in this pic, courtesy of Penguin:
