Morgan, very cool and I know what you mean...I keep telling myself I don't NEED 2 cars, but it puts such a smile on my face when I drive it, it'd break my heart to dump the S. The TL isn't even an option...that baby is worth $75K in sentimental value and I'd have to find a special buyer for that.
Glad to see you're getting out.

At least at a decent price. I want a Porsche, and the car itself is attainable, but I like modding. Porsche mods can be very expensive.
After the trip to NC, I really fell in love with the FR-S again. No sure what it is about it, but I don't think I can bring myself to ditch it.
I like the Miata/MX-5 (especially the ND), but I don't fit comfortably with the top up in the older models, and I'm only average build

It's only in pictures...but thank you, Morgan. She's beat up in person.
but it's just not worth any decent money to anyone else...I guess if push came to shove I could let it ride, but I'd miss it...AND the S2000. At some point though, house projects and a kid will be more important to me.

I've had a similar argument with the Penguin regarding sports cars and kids.
Betty has a four door, right? If yes, kid goes there. If you're not too concerned with the condition of said kid, there's always the trunk

well, that's the thing...the TL is a sporty looking, relevant, fun to drive, 6MT WITH 4 doors and space for me to easily have 2 or 3 kids (I'm not a bigger bigger bigger NEED SUV FOR MY 1 KID guy...mom had a 1991 Civic SI with 2 kids)...so realistically it's a paid off car that suits my needs for the next 20 years, maybe even hand it off to my kid (to fk up).
Who even knows...I just won't go plop down $40K for touchscreen and vented seats...I feel like cars are getting further and further from being what made us love them to begin with and pride myself on keeping the better examples of production cars that japan put out.
That said, I'd have a hard time dumping EITHER car...because let's face it, there's a SLEW of other things that you have to spend your money on when you have kids and a weekend convertible ain't one. That was my thinking when I jumped at the idea that she supported to buy it in the first place.
Biggest issue right now, is parking...she got a taste of garage parking and now she'll be begrudgingly parking outside. She understands that my cars need to be hidden and protected, but still...one day I'd love to put some actuators on the dual wooden gate and build an overhang, that'd work just fine for me. We'll see.
About her having the 4 door...yeah, she has a Caddy SRX...but in this life of running all over the place and both our parents living far south, I have to figure it won't always be doable to only take the kid in her car.

I'll need to have another alignment done either before or during winter anyway since I've had solid steering rack bushings that I've needed to install for a while now just sitting in a box. So at that point, I will have adjustable arms for the rear and the front figured out.
My previous alignment was set at about -.5 up front, and the car understeered a bit. At -1.2*, the steering is more instantaneous and direct. I love it. On center it feels a bit dull, but it ramps up nicely as steering angle increases.
My goal was about -1.5* up front, but I need to figure out what's up with the driver side suspension and why I can't get more than -1.2* out of it.

and I think the camber thing varies from twin to twin. Are you running camber bolts, or are your coils slotted for camber adjustment?
Here is my newest miaturd. Damn stock steering wheel, I can't turn past 4 o'clock without hitting my hand on my leg lol. Bucket seat time!!!!

I think it depends on where your height is, if that makes sense. I'm 6'1, long legs but a shorter torso. No problems with the top but my knee and the steering wheel fight for the same space in an NC.
Would love to get an NA Miata, do a foamectomy and buy a concave wheel.
Even on older ones? Like if you got a 964 and used Pelican Parts religiously?

If I had money on the side to pick one up as a Sunday driver, and keep covered in the garage the rest of the time, I think it would be a good investment.
Boring shot while leaving work, but

Also, I neglected to post a pic of the rear seat delete. So, here:

Don't mind the horrible stitch on the photosphere, I was in a rush. There's a panel that covers the opening for the trunk but I haven't tossed that in yet. I'll eventually get around to it.

You're nuts, Morgan...that car is fucking fantastic, man. Keep it and STFU already.
Also, delete is awesome, looks like a good cover for the trunk would be a 15" infinite baffle sub panel...
nawww...20 pounds out, 100 back in.

It definitely is. I've had someone in the back seat once, and they not comfortable. You mean we shouldn't joke about Joan Rivers?

or MJ either...
Seriously man...I love your car. Fuck all that...it's fun to drive and looks stupendous. Stopped being a spoiled little vampire and pay that baby off and enjoy it. I thought I was manly...but really, 2 RWD cars? I'm a bitch...
I've had four people in my car once
the guy behind me bitched several times.
As long as they're 5'7" or under, they'll fit in the back. Taller and they start hitting the rear window
This car is the definition of a 2+2.

Sat in the back of one a couple of times at the auto show. It sucked standing still, can't imagine it being there while it's moving.
If anything, it's more practical this way since you can better use the space for more crap.

Not on the driver side.
Unless you want to get uncomfortable. Stupid 6yrs old was complaning to me even though I was driving like a woman...2 inches away from steering
And I am just 5 10
Morgan, did road sound get louder inside the cabin after deleting the seats?

it was Mitzi that was in the back seat

She's about 5'7" I think
She had her legs crossed in the seat, and that was with Tyler in the passenger seat up quite far. Somehow, someway, she managed to fall asleep back there
Because you can't hear it over the exhaust

Mitz was in the back seat, passed out?
Damn...so it takes a rufi to get someone ride comfortably in the back seat. Good idea, dumping the evidence by doing a seat delete. That'll probably hold up in court! "No, your honor, it couldn't have been me...I has they not comfortable back seats in there".

here, I think it'll be hard to find something else that can replicate this, day in and day out.
But I hope you keep the FR-S also, since it doesn't seem like there's much else out there that's so easily enjoyable.
