it looks more solid, even in the pictures - compared to what I have, at least. it even looks better materials and build-wise... need to check it out first-hand!
Congrats Chris!
It definitely feels more solid than the 30D+bg-e2 combo, but there is still a little flex/play. Probably not significant unless you are using really long and heavy lenses.
On another note, I found out that:
a. the RRS l-plate for the 30D+grip won't work on the 7D+grip.
2. I really need to MAF my lenses. It seems both the 17-55 and 70-200 are back focusing. I'll need to test/adjust all my lenses.

I posted one of my club pics to another forum and it was kind of caption-worthy so someone added a caption (just a balloon with text) and uploaded it to their flickr. Should I care? Should I say something? I don't have any watermark on the pic and there is no mention of the source on his flickr page.

yeah it was on my flickr. I didnt really have any problem with him modifying it, I just had a problem with him putting it on his flickr, without asking. he complied without any fuss.
Annie Leibovitz shot the Obama family portrait. The photo was taken with a Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III and a Canon 24-70 f/2.8 zoom lens. TONS of exif data can be seen by clicking right here.

there's a way to make a picture look unpretentious and still look GOOD. but this picture misses on so many fronts - composition, background, lighting being the main ones. maybe they'll see all the feedback and turn it into a nationwide post-processing contest, make this image look the best you can, anyone can enter. haha
and I know it's easy for us to sit back and make this kind of criticisms, but DAMN. I mean damn. you would expect something of a top-notch caliber. and, that doesn't necessarily mean perfect studio shot.
so you don't like the open door, picture behind the young daughters head, mostly in focus mantle in the background?
I think the family looks good for the shot, what you all thinking? I don't have any portrait taking experience, but the family looks relatively natural and happy, no?
so chop the background and we have a winner? or spacing, postures everythings gotta go?

Maybe we've all just become crazy from doing our photos and don't know what is good and what is not good anymore. hehe. Because she obviously knows a thing or two about it, and here is what she produced.

good to see, looks nice.
Congrats lil bro!!!
Thanks!
